Larajunky et al,Please stop trying to link rap/hip hop directly with "thug" behavior. It isn't that simple and you know it. Singing a song about mom, homework, and home cooked meals in an "urban" style does not have anything to do with gang life. Just because Tupac was involved in that lifestyle doesn't mean this little kid is being encouraged by his parents to do the same. Musicians everywhere and of all races are often involved in morally dubious activities. Larajunky, do you do a background check on every artist you enjoy? All the time? If so, you can listen to Christian "rock" if you want...but even they cheat on their wives, do drugs, and commit crimes. So please, spare me your thinly veiled racism and, with all due respect, why don't you stfu. Or, better yet, why don't you take the rope you're using to hang people you irrationally hate and use it on yourself. |

whatta freakin' WASTE of time! Sure the kid is cute with the 'no front teeth' and all but come ON! He's emulating a Thug, Womanizer (besides his own mother), Thief, Murderer, and a horrible music maker. Its not even music if you ask me (don't ask, just stfu). This child being so young and impressionable should be doing something more constructive like learning an instrument or something like that. For all of those people saying "he's singing about his mother" and "I'd like to see some of you do what he is doing" I say, GO BLOW IT OUT YOUR ASS and get a life for christ sakes. HAVE. I couldn't finish my last post in its entirety. Note, I signed up for a random, free e-mail account (normally, I use hotmail) just to make this post. And though I am white, teach at all black aka "innner city schoools," and deal with all sorts of adversity concerning all black student groups, I feel not one iota of pity, pardon, or charity concerning my group. They are CHILDREN, end of story. No more no less. Bigotry adds the more or less. What the hell is wrong with you people? When I watched this video I felt one thing--GUILT. Guilt because I've never made the effort to make a card or pick a present with as much heartfelt intention as this little boy did for his mother. Forget race, class, rap, and any other humdrum you can come up with. Whether he wrote it or not,or came up with it on his own or not, the guy spent the time to make his MOM a singing thank you card. So F you you heartless, racist bastards--have you EVER done the same? Spare me the comparisons please.Also---Rap IS an art so get over it. Also, he's most likely better at it than most of us. Also, don't pity a little kid for putting on a show for his mom...he doesn't give a poo about you!! And finally, rap doesn't equal "thug." While this kid is talented and innocent, his use of rap mannerisms gives me a bad feeling."There are more serial killers whose preferred genre of music is country than their are those that prefer Rap. There are more white kids who get arrested everyday than black kids in white suburban neighborhoods whose preferred genre of music is alternative rock. And for every rap song talking about money women, and jiggling butts, there are just as many brittnay spears / lindsay lohan songs talking about porking men, and what kind of lipstick they will wear that day. It isn't just Rap music that went down the tubes....ALL MUSIC is going down the tubes...at an alarming rate. Pop music ("white music") has done more to dumb down musical artistic expression and teenage IQ's than Rap could ever dream to do. WAKE UP! |
