Meh, didn't seem like that bad of an avalanche. The killer ones are the ones you don't have time to run away from... lets just hope that was a light-fluff one and that when the snow settles it hasn't buried the house as the avalanche has expended its momentum.. THAT.. or the backdoor isn't covered or their roof has a door, lol. Still neat though. |

FFS. you REALLY can't figure out the expression near miss? its a miss, THAT WAS NEAR YOU. like if a baseball goes whizzing by your head at ninety-five miles per hour, but MISSES, it was a near miss. near becomes an adverb discribing miss. |

^ I agree. Where I work, if a safety "near miss" occurs, it means someone "almost" got hurt. I never had understood that term; but hey, I'm just a brave, not a chief. |
