Thursday, October 11, 2007 5:20:22 PM Woah.. that's weird. At first, I saw it clockwise and I was like, "so, I'm creative." But then, I thought how would they see it spinning counter-clockwise? And then I saw both! Confusing. |

Thursday, October 11, 2007 4:58:13 PM I can make it switch by focusing on the outstretched foot and consciously telling myself which direction its going. |

Thursday, October 11, 2007 4:10:17 PM i think it has something to do with how many "frames per second" you can acknowledge (reflexes and stuff). since i have insane reflexes it is not possible for me to see it rotating another way than clockwise. |

Thursday, October 11, 2007 2:37:07 PM I must be an idiot because the only direction I can see is CLOCKWISE!!! How can I be CREATIVE when I CAN'T EVEN SEE THINGS FROM ANOTHER PERSPECTIVE? To those who claim that when the figure appears anti-clockwise, she appears standing on the RIGHT LEG?? How can that pivoting leg be a RIGHT LEG?? From the position the leg sticks out from the body and the shape of the leg, it still looks a left leg after an hour staring at it!!! OMG... SOMEONE PLEASE EXPLAIN |

Thursday, October 11, 2007 2:17:49 PM wiggy. I can make myself see it both ways. If I see it one way, just look away (w/ the picture still in view) and think about it going the other way and it will |

Thursday, October 11, 2007 1:48:25 PM Actually there is a prespective trick involved. Notice the hair. When the hair is facing you, you can't see if it's the face or the hair (print screen, anyone?). Another way to control her is to focus a bit to the left of the computer (or maybe right?) for a while, untill it begins to look as if she's just swinging her leg and not turning at all. |

Thursday, October 11, 2007 11:28:45 AM ^^ Actually, singing a song or humming a tune works better than looking at color contrasts. |

Thursday, October 11, 2007 11:25:46 AM This is pretty cool. I can make her change direction at will. Suppose she's moving clockwise (creative). Look at the numbers (favorites, emailed, rating) above the image and add them together. She will change direction because you have engaged your left hemisphere to do the math. To make her move clockwise, look at (and focus your mind on) the contrast of the colors in one of the banner ads on the page. This engages your right hemisphere and the dancer rotates accordingly. It's a matter of whether you see her raised leg pass in front of her or behind her on a rotation. There is no animation or perspective trickery involved. |

Thursday, October 11, 2007 11:25:08 AM I actually saw both. At first I saw the figure's side nearest me rotating from my left to my right (Assume from Top down this to be anti-clockwise). then after looking down the page, and looking up, I saw what appeared to be the opposite. I'm just a balanced individual. I assume it has more to do with when you first see the character, and what you perceive to be the "front" |

Thursday, October 11, 2007 10:15:53 AM OMG wierd, if you scroll down and stare at her legs for a while, taking the shadow into account, it looks like shes not spinning, just swinging her leg... does this mean i dont have a brain... |

Thursday, October 11, 2007 9:59:40 AM Wierd, i find the one on IAB goes counter clockwise eaiier, and it takes longer to get it to switch, but the one on the link by benjbenj goes clockwise easier than counter. maybe its got something to do with the white or black backgrounds |

Thursday, October 11, 2007 9:23:17 AM "yea... totally fake... i saw it going only clockwise forever, then i came back and looked at it later... still clockwise then it stopped and started going the other way" You are such a moron. |

Thursday, October 11, 2007 8:37:56 AM If you take your finger and move it with her foot in the opposite direction you see her turn, you'll see her going the other way. BTW first saw her moving clock-wise. |
