Tuesday, May 13, 2008 10:34:02 AM I focussed on the arms, and pictured whether they were behind or in front of her depending on which way I wanted her to turn. Not too hard to control. |

Sunday, March 02, 2008 12:48:27 AM I can control which way it turns. All you have to do is focus on the text beneath it:"If you see dancer rotating clockwise, you are right-brained (creative), counter-clockwise, left-brained (logical)." If you focus on that, the dancer will switch direction. |

Tuesday, January 08, 2008 2:15:59 AM To clarify, this has absolutely nothing to do with the rightbrain leftbrain stuff. The direction of the spin is dictated by the initial position you believe to be viewing the model: Looking down at the model -> clockwise Looking up at the model -> counter-clockwise You can make them switch directions on a dime. |

Monday, December 24, 2007 11:55:14 AM It was clockwise at first glance, but if you stare at her foot and then look up, she'll start going the opposite way. |

Monday, December 24, 2007 9:04:32 AM I had to save the picture to my computer to view it, and it keeps switching between clockwise and counter clockwise. Does that mean I am both creative and logical? Or neither :) |

Monday, November 26, 2007 5:51:20 AM this is really clever!! i see how it works cause it loaded real slow and depending on the way you look at it you can see it going both ways, really cleverly drawn, i saw it going clockwise first, but it went both ways for me =P |

Saturday, November 17, 2007 3:42:48 PM This really makes my brain hurt and i agree that it has nothing to do with left and right brainedness. To see it change direction for me, i just covered everything except the far left side so i could just see the hand go on screen every so often. Then i just imagined it coming in from the front and going back and she was going clockwise, then imagined it coming from the back and going forward so it was going anti(counter)clockwise. I think it is to do with perspective but i don't know how to explain it and i think everyone else should stop trying coz they SUCK at it.

Thursday, November 15, 2007 12:17:26 PM This has nothing to do with being left or right brained. This is simply an optical illusion.EVERY frame the animation consists of is an optical illusion, the leg may seem to point towards you, her face may seem like its looking to your side, but it can look like the exact opposite aswell. The way it seems to you first is how your brain interprets it and thats the way it carries on moving. NO TRANSITION, only a few frames you interpret in some way with no connection to being left-right brain sided. In a way shes moving to both directions at the same time, whatever you want. |

Thursday, November 08, 2007 3:21:16 PM "If she's twirling the opposite a clock does then she IS going counter clockwise. It's impossible for it to be the other way around. You can't do both at the same time."I take back what I said. I can make her move back and forth at will. I am about 50/50 left and right brained. At the time I was thinking too critically, so she could ONLY move counter-clockwise. Then I looked at it again with music in my head and she managed to go clockwise. |

Wednesday, November 07, 2007 2:07:19 AM Kinda pisses me off when the 'logical' rotation makes no sense, considering the shadow of the raised leg shows up in the foreground while she's rotating clockwise. |

Saturday, November 03, 2007 9:06:41 PM Yeah. If you watch it for a while without blinking, she switches legs, but it's a pretty smooth transition. So if you blink, you won't see it. Lammee. ;( |

Saturday, October 27, 2007 3:24:44 PM For me she doesn´t turn all the way around in one direction, she goes right then left then rigt and left and so on. Maybe my brain can´t figure out, which brain to use?? |
