lol braindamaged, glad you finally realized that. Now was the name calling necessary?

Since the image is at about 10 frames per second, your brain is left to interpret what happens "between frames" so that it appears as a continous motion.

Some things that worked for me so far to change directions: blinking really fast, concentrating on her legs, or just forcing your brain to see her spin the other way.

This is not a right-leftbrain test. It is just a shadow turning CLOCKWISE (there's a perspective in the foot of the standing leg and the shadow of the foot shows when the leg is in the FRONT.) Because the dancer is a shadow you can choose to look at it turning backwards. I can for example look at it swiching the movement from left to right, in the front. But de figure moves clockwise!

If I look at it straight on, it goes clockwise
but if i look to the side of it, i can see it going anticlockwise out of the side of my eye
tis wierd

I saw it go clockwise at first, thinking "How can it go counter clockwise?" Then I decided to look away, look back and force myself to think 'logically', and after a second I saw it counter! I had a second's difficulty getting it to go back to clockwise, but it's fine now :)

I wonder what that says about me?

Well I'll be damned. It isn't some perspective garbage like I thought last night. You actually can make her spin both directions. I saw her spin right first though.

I saw it counter-clockwise first and then tried hard to see it go the other way. I guess it just tells you what side you predominantly use. Een if you are left-brained, it doesn't mean you don't have a right brain! Which would explain why most people can see both if you look hard enough. I would go with whatever you see first.

Love moving it back and forth. When I look at it at first, I see it going clockwise. Heh.

i absolutely cannot see it turning clockwise. Apparently going to an engineering school has sucked all the creativity out of me :(

(for the people on page 5)
I broke it down to test out the frames. It really does matter which side she starts on. If I start the animation with the foot on the left, it looks clockwise. If I start it out with the leg on the right it looks counterclockwise. lol

If you want to see it go clockwise, just watch her shadow. That proves that she is actually going clockwise the whole time. (and for the record, I was able to see her going counter clockwise, but only when i scrolled up far enough that I couldn't see the shadow.)

Im right brained but I know how to make my brain see her spinning either direction. After a seconds worth of concentrating, I made her spin the opposite direction.
