Wednesday, October 10, 2007 6:06:33 PM actually, changed my mind. It is an illusion. But I have decided I hate it, it really is a bag of poo. |

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 6:02:03 PM psychoman it did that for me. It sort of hesitates and then switches direction like it's loading up a new image sequence. and to the TOTAL GEEK on page 2 who said "it's a *something* file, it cant be programmed" ... bite me. I don't care I know what I meant and i meant the sequence the images appear in. It is not an Illusion, IT'S A PILE OF CRAP. |

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 5:57:00 PM I look at it, see it, and think "There's no way it could be going the other direction".A minute later, it is going in the opposite direction! Pretty cool. |

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 5:55:28 PM omg. At first I saw it going clockwise, for liek 10 mins, and then I saw it omean personer-clockwise. Counterclockwise she seems to be doing some jumnp & turn as opposed to just turning with a foot out clockwise. That could be part of the trick?? Anyway, now I can't see it clockwise again. Very cool! |

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 5:54:23 PM D00D! i found out how to control it.. And if you look really closely, she is just swinging her leg side to side, and she is not actually spinning.. o_O |

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 5:47:35 PM aparently I'm logic, but I don't belive that description.. It's easy to make her change direction (look at the other posts), but still.. I think it's freaky, freaky, freaky! |

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 5:46:36 PM That is such a scam. It obviously changes direction from time to time. |

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 5:34:06 PM if you stare at it long enough it goes the other way, I think if you think of it as counter clockwise she's leaping, otherwise she is just spinning on one foot |

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 5:28:33 PM its easy, when her 2 legs match up there is no way of telling which way she is faced, but it has nothing to do with your brain because if you started watching it only through one eye, went back and tried again with the other eye from the start it would change |

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 5:24:51 PM At first all I could see, she was going counter-clockwise (so apparently I'm lef-brained=logical) But after a little bit of concentration, I could see her going clock-wise. 8D |

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 5:23:58 PM It's pretty simple actually. The dancer herself is black, and appears to be either rotating one way or the other. If you take a moment to look at the dancer, then at the grey area above her, she will change directions. This is a common use of negative space. The opposite colors tend to make you assume things, but its really just your brain looking it at one way, or another. So it's perfectly normal if it changes directions. That just ment that you looked away from it for a fraction of a second. To make the dancer go back to rotating the original time, look back at the area above and presto! I think it's more of a logical thinking challenge then anything. Hope that makes sense! :)

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 5:22:51 PM It's pretty easy to get it to change directions. For me, it always starts off going clockwise no matter what. To get it to change directions, stare at the reflection of the foot and it should be easier to imagine it spinning the opposite direction. Now when you look up, the whole image should be spinning the opposite way. |

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 5:20:44 PM I can't find any consistent method to make it change direction. It always seems to happen when I'm focusing on the entire picture and not just the parts. |

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 5:10:36 PM Isn't this just an optical illusion? I don't think it has anything to do with being right brained or left brained.I saw her going counter-clockwise, then she was going clockwise, and now I can't see it going counter-clockwise. |
