Tuesday, October 16, 2007 12:15:36 AM If I had a car and I didn't know which side the gas tank was on, I would write it on a post-it note and stick it to my dashboard. Bingo, problem solved almost effortlesly. |

Wednesday, October 10, 2007 1:37:42 AM >>they should put a gas cap on both sides going to the same tank. <<Great idea. Oh, BTW, my '95 GMC Safari van has the filler on the left side, and the pump handle on the qauge is on the right. Oh well.... |

Tuesday, October 09, 2007 10:19:41 PM AntON: "they should build all the cars with gas tank on the same side..."I agree, that or they should put a gas cap on both sides going to the same tank. Would definitely help at busy gas stations. |

Tuesday, October 09, 2007 9:45:11 PM i totally forgot that most of the US pumps their own gas.i'd probably remember what side of the car it was on if i had to do it myself. |

Tuesday, October 09, 2007 8:48:35 PM Apparently Nissan never got the memo. My Altima's tank is on the left - the fuel light has the pump on the right. |

Tuesday, October 09, 2007 6:57:18 PM 1 pioneer station in ontario canada can reach the other side of my tercel. so if all other spot are taken, i can go in wrong side and still fuel up :) |

Tuesday, October 09, 2007 5:47:43 PM I remember the good ol days when my dad's car had the gas tank behind the rear license plate. It didn't matter which side of the pump you were on. |

Tuesday, October 09, 2007 4:52:01 PM This is entirely false, sorry to those of you who believe it. I have an 05 Accord, and the gas tank fill is on the drivers side, but the little pump icon has the hose on the right. |

Tuesday, October 09, 2007 11:56:02 AM my trucks gauge is vertical and standardly the tank is on the left but mine is on the right side and my car points to the left but the tank is on the right side so I'll stick to just remembering which side it's on.

Tuesday, October 09, 2007 12:51:56 AM "Another helpful tip: The gas tank is always on the side opposite of the exhaust pipe." Wouldn't it be quicker to look for the gas cap rather than the exhaust pipe?as for the article: I hate people that put out bullsh*t stories like this and swear it's true because they're smart enough to "figure out" something that no one else has. |

Monday, October 08, 2007 9:17:08 PM This just simply isn't true, if it were, my gas cap would be on the right side . . . but no. In order to fill my car I have to roll down a passenger window, insert the nozzle and pump my gas directly on the floor for the car to absorb. |

Monday, October 08, 2007 8:50:17 PM never heard of this before, but it seems to be wrong. 2001 toyota tacoma, 1999 accord and 1994 honda prelude disproves this theory. That's 3 out of the 4 cars in my driveway. |
