What the hell is wrong with some of these people  . It says in a small paragraph how the bear got there and that it is a female. People still ask the question without reading. Then even sadder, different people post the same question within this thread when the question has already been answered about three posts above theirs.
PrZn, get over it. It's a harmless pun.
That must have been horrible  . I couldn't ever picture myself being spooked off a bridge suspended so high off the ground, and being stuck on that little arch for that long  . |

Humans=hypocrites... When animals are in need of help, we tend do make great efforts in helping them. Only problem is, had the bear not been stuck on the bridge someone would've shot it instead. It's so ironic I can't find words for it. |

It said right in the story that the bear is a female. These people weren't going to go to the trouble of rescuing a bear without sexing it...and hell, there's a great deal of sexual dimorphism in brown bears. Whatever the case, I'm happy for the bear. How it actually caught the ledge under the bridge as it was falling is beyond me. I think its "guardian" was on duty for those few short seconds. |
