Thursday, October 04, 2007 5:34:22 PM 'Carbon monoxide is not poisonous... It just fills the air, you breathe in that air, there's not enough oxygen in the air because it's mostly carbonmonoxide, and lack of oxygen kills you. You don't get poisoned, you actually suffocate'Good luck trying that out then... |

Thursday, October 04, 2007 1:52:09 AM " so how do they work? i didnt know waves had energy in them... and i cant remember whats carbon dioxide... is it good?"Anything that moves has energy. Carbon Dioxide is what we breathe out, and plants take in to make oxygen. If we breathe in Carbon Dioxide, we die.. if we breathe enough of ita nyway. |

Wednesday, October 03, 2007 8:11:58 PM Stupid arguments aside, I'm curious exactly how it works. It says you only have to maintain the generators and not the underwater electro station (unless they're mixing up the terms in the article). Now what happens if something breaks down anyway? Do those 7500 households wait for weeks while divers arrive, explore the malfunction underwater, custom order parts to fix it, wait for them, go fix stuff underwater, test run it? Better have a contingency plan. |

Wednesday, October 03, 2007 6:20:49 PM Here is a definition straight from the dictionary: carbon monoxide: an odorless very poisonous gas that is a product of incomplete combustion of carbon |

Wednesday, October 03, 2007 5:59:55 PM OK HERE IS WHAT I HAVE LEARND 1. THE WAVES HAVE TOTAL POWER OVER THE MOON 2. WE MUST HAVE A INTERNAL COMBUSTION SYSTEM IN OUR BODYS BECAUS WE CAUS GLOBLE WARMING WITH OUR BREATH 3. MY CAR HAS NO EXAUST SYSTEM AND THEIR IS NO SUCH THINGN AS MASS TRANSIT OR HYBRID VEHICALS SO OUR ATTEMTS TO STOP GLOBLE WARMING IS TOTAL BS. 4. CHINA MAKES GREAN HOUSE GASES considering its a devaloping nation 5. caol plants do not produce 100tons of co2 a year are lungs which are the size of small cities dothank you drop outs i wana be just like you f college!

Wednesday, October 03, 2007 5:46:30 PM Carbon monoxide is a colorless, odorless, and POISONOUS gas. Sure you can breathe it in if you want to die. Carbon dioxide is CO2, thus the 2 and the end. Mono = 1, Di = 2. |

Wednesday, October 03, 2007 5:38:08 PM And to pickme44: co2 IS carbon dioxide. We breathe in oxygen, and exhale carbon dioxide. Plants take in carbon dioxide, and release oxygen. |

Wednesday, October 03, 2007 11:12:56 AM Its a drop in the ocean, if you pardon the pun. As someone said earlier, China and the US will make up for any carbon cut backs we (the UK) make. However, it is a start, and thats what we need. Now maybe other countries will follow. |

Wednesday, October 03, 2007 10:25:54 AM What a retarded idea. The only reason this got off the drawing board is because the U.K. busts its nuts on anything that reduces CO2. That's OK, China will make up for the "greenhouse gas" reduction. If you believe in global warming, go kill yourself. You are exhaling CO2 and it is destroying the planet, not to mention the CO2 you churn out with daily activities such as driving to work. Everything is your fault and you should feel bad! AL GORE IS NOT PLEASED! |

Wednesday, October 03, 2007 10:06:43 AM "enough power for 7,500 homes"...wow, hardly earth shattering is it. Especially as this is going to have a massive enviromental impact on the area. Go nuclear kids, its for the best. |
