Try picking up a dictionary sometime and actually learning the language you THINK you can speak..."Ouch!! Jeez, Ricklionheart, what crawled up YOUR arse and got cozy? Did I say 'whilst' isn't a word? No, I did not. So take a bloody pill or eleven, and chill the hell out. |

Tuesday, October 09, 2007 6:44:54 AM Oh now we can't smoke in our cars either? WTF? Ive been smoking and driving for 20 years and I've never had an accident. The cigarettes are going to kill me from cancer before they make me get into an accident. |

Thursday, October 04, 2007 10:44:55 PM "unless you don't have power steering... in which case, you shouldn't be driving it anyway."Pansy. As far as the law goes....eh, I'd be affected by it, but I don't have to drive and smoke, eat, or whatever while I drive. I can pull into a rest area. I can wait until I get to work. Am I in agreeance of this? Well....no, but then I don't live in the UK. Cell Phone usage while driving is illegal in most states these days. Seat belt laws areall over the place, and michigan cops can actually pull you over just for not wearing a seat belt. They don't have to find another reason to nab you anymore. They can also pull you over for following too close behind. |

Thursday, October 04, 2007 10:32:32 PM You know, it might have been just me, but I could have sworn I heard "1984" and "The Party" being whispered in the background. But that would just be me being paranoid about oppresive government. |

Thursday, October 04, 2007 9:21:37 PM it's actually a very good idea and should probably be enforced more here in the states, but ya know ya know. |

Thursday, October 04, 2007 8:16:40 PM "They enforce these laws in Texas. It really helps, even though we are the worst drivers in the country (not including myself, of course)."Actually, according to a couple of surveys for 2007, drivers in the New York are the worst in the country. ("New York drivers came in last in driver knowledge, while Idaho came in first. Arkansas, Minnesota, Kansas and Wisconsin ranked in the top five, while New Jersey, the District of Columbia, Massachusetts and Rhode Island were in the bottom five among all 50 states.") As for this law, I think it's a good idea. It has its flaws (as someone else pointed out, it can be hard for some to drive for hours on end without some kind of stimulant in you), but I'm sick of seeing the SUV next to me swerve in and out of my lane, only to find that they're jabbering away on their cellphone while trying to "drive". |

Thursday, October 04, 2007 7:12:24 PM The roads in the UK have not become more busy in the last 10 years, it's obvious that neither the lawmakers NOR the reporter here did any research (the law is very silly). |

Thursday, October 04, 2007 4:52:12 PM It's your car- you can do whatever you want in it. I think this is complete and utter crap. It's no where in the law that you're not allowed to eat in your own frickin car when you're driving. |

Thursday, October 04, 2007 2:59:51 PM I'm glad they're taking a stance. Too many times i find someone swerving around the lane and find they are eating, talking on their cell, putting on makeup, primping themselves in the mirror, playing with their dog on the wheel (yes.. i've seen it), and so forth. Glad the UK is taking a step towards it. Makes a good point though "You wouldn't do these things at your driving test, so why do you afterwards?" I don't. |

Thursday, October 04, 2007 1:40:08 PM I can't drive with two hands on the wheel, my hands fight each other for control of the wheel. I don't wanna hear it about how two hands is safer, its not like it takes force to turn a steering wheel, unless you don't have power steering... in which case, you shouldn't be driving it anyway. |

Thursday, October 04, 2007 12:25:00 PM I was eating KFC while driving once. I was doing the pedals, my mate in the passenger seat was steering, and my other mate in the back was reaching between the seats to change gear. I enjoyed my food, we got there safely and quickley. Whats the problem? |
