It is obvious she was not a threat to him. America is a country driven by fear... and hate. Bad... bad bad bad bad. Wake up before you've thrown away all your liberties."Actually we're driven by divine right, fear is a close second though. |

Saturday, October 06, 2007 9:37:26 PM no matter what she was doing, short from killing someone, she doesnt deserve to be tasered, she could have easily been handled by a big "Trained" police officer, cuff her legs for gods sake! that was just blatant torture. he probably hadnt had a chance to use it and wanted to play with his toy. lazy b a s t a r d |

Monday, October 01, 2007 3:55:00 PM Well what the drat? Tasing a drunk person, putting them into shock, and then not expecting them to want to escape and after that even threatening to tase her again? By the f.cking way Bubba, tasing isn't safe. People have died from being tased, I don't know what you are thinking. Since when was sending electricity into someones body EVER safe? |

Monday, October 01, 2007 10:13:51 AM Well he wouldnt have just tasered her right off. She was prob drunk, causing a scene which is why he was there. SHe didn't listen to him and was trying to run away. But the fact that she started trying to kick her way out of the cruiser is what discredits her. And we don't see what happens when she was being sent to tother car before she was tazed again. She prob tried to take off running. |

Sunday, September 30, 2007 10:06:59 PM Some people become cops because they want to help people, others become cops because they crave power. I'm guessing this guy did it for the power. |

Sunday, September 30, 2007 12:22:39 AM If people would just comply with the officers and stop being dickheads, they wouldn't get tased. If you feel the officer is doing something he shouldn't, there is something called passive resistance. And afterwards you hire an attorney to address your concerns. |

Saturday, September 29, 2007 11:56:59 PM In case you haven't noticed, a woman screaming on the floor isn't much of a goddamned threat. |

Saturday, September 29, 2007 11:52:38 PM Q) What's the one thing you never do when you have a gun strapped to your hip? A) Get into a wrestling match with anyone, especially one who appears to be inebriated.Q) What is the most important thing for a peace officer to do on every shift? (hint: it's the same as every one else) A) Survive. The badge doesn't imbue a person with superhuman powers. Regardless of relative size, anyone can get knocked out, shot, or worse. A cop's job isn't to fight people. Its to protect, and in some cases, control them without putting themselves at risk. Now stop watching Walker Texas Ranger, and search here for a couple of "girl knocks guy out" videos. |

Saturday, September 29, 2007 8:01:02 PM It's amazing to me that there are people on this website defending the police in this instance. There are no circumstances allowing this, in the time it took the policeman to tase her over and over, he could have easily tased her once, handcuffed her, and if need be (and it looked as if it was needed) call for back-up. I'm not defending her actions, but this is excessive brutality, in fact, this is nothing short of sadistic. |

Saturday, September 29, 2007 4:58:21 PM 1. So, instead of safely (yes, the taser is safe) restraining her, he should have just let her go about whatever she was doing, or should the officer wrestler her to the ground and restrain her that way?2. Maybe I am a cop. Maybe I'm a cop who thinks about getting home every night. Maybe I'm a cop who will use the best method to control a situation instead of either turning my head and allowing her to continue, or grabbing her and fighting on the ground. BTW, taking her to the ground would put both the officer and the suspect at risk. She went to jail with no apparent lasting complications for the taser, and he went home to his donuts. |
