It freaked me out a bit to see the parent shove its beak down the throat of the offspring; kinda looked like it was trying to impale them or something.

Awww...They're such precious little things. My grandmother used to raise a pair of hummingbirds that fell out of their next; the mother had rejected them for whatever reason. They got to the day they left and flew off, and come back every year now to lay their eggs. |
