They make the internet seem like it would be a device only adults use. Like it had no entertainment purposes at all....like a calculator or something  . I'm glad they were that far off in the prediction. Otherwise, I would be looking at some payments by my parents right now  . |

This is actually not the internet per se, but the 500 TV channel cable system concept that was popular in the 80's. In that era the commulation device was a TV rather than a PC and after the advent of the internet the whole experiment petered out. |
