First thing I thought, he was only pretending to not know english, and after the crash, he forgot that he was pretending to not know english.

"Unfortunately, the speedway driver's new found skills didn’t last.."
Aww that sucks.

"Hopefully I can pick English up over the winter for the start of next season so I'll be able to speak it without someone having to hit me over the head first."
Lol. That's funny.

That's amazing. I have heard something like this before, so I believe it is possible.

I like how everyone is like THIS IS IMPOSSIBLE IT CANT HAPPEN.

Do you forget we only use 5% of our brains? Also, do you forget that your using that very same 5% to deduct that it can't happen?

I think it's funny that 13 years olds are trying to argue the fact that this can happen.

I have read up on a few medical reports from hospitals about people speaking different languages during a brain surgery. Languages they didn't now they could speak.

I wouldn't be so quick to toss this one out. We know very little of the human brain, and we use a very small portion of it as well. The human body can respond in very odd ways to trauma.

I seriously doubt the credibility of this website. As far as I can tell it's not a joke like The Onion, but there are some issues. I also saw a story there about a couple of the original cast members of The Brady Bunch having a lesbian affair during the show. But the picture they used of The Brady Bunch was from the movie that made a few years ago, not the original series.

I have a feeling there are a lot of errors in their stories.

Huh Thats pretty cool. Its kinda like that one episode of Ripley's Where That woman had a stroke and woke up with a British Accent.

I know someone this happened to. He was in a car crash and woke up speaking Spanish. Thing is though, he spoke pretty god Spanish before the accident, so it was more that he forgot how to speak English than he suddenly knew how to speak Spanish. Very odd.

here's another weird brain thing:
Apparently, you might start speaking in a different accent that you've never heard before after a stroke....

Isn't this the ninth news story about someone getting in a wreck and waking up with a different accent/language?

yeah nicole, but that was an accent and not a completely different language.

Wouldn't it be cool if we could do this artificially? and on purpose. Just go to the hospital to get your mind rearranged.

Didn't this site already have a link with a person who originally had like a United States, southern accent and woke up with an English accent?
