personally i recon that place is a bit too fancy for criminals, i mean they are serving a sentance for a reason, im not sayin they should live in a dark cell on bread and water, but come on, 5 star treatment for rapest, murders, all the worsest of the worsest when others are scraping by. thats not justice |

See. this is where America goes wrong- we treat our criminals like less than rats- and yet we call their time in prison "reforming". There is no effort to truly reform our criminals. Treat them better, and really work for a change, give them bearable living conditions, treat them with respect, and HUMANELY (being in a "hole" for days on end is NOT humane) and perhaps one day the criminals will mirror that respect and kindness.Sure, some will always be "bad" but many, if given the chance, would and COULD change. |

Dear timmy I was born in LEOBEN, for Austrian standards Leoben is a town, usa would probably think it more of a mall.

Canadian prisons are nice too >.> Not that nice in look but free university education, cable, internet, tattoos and gyms... I'm on the wrong side of the law lol |

neely 2009 it does . juristricion center is a nice word for prison, like juvenil correction center, and yes lots of Austrian woman come out of prison cant cope with the real world and due petty crimes just so they can go back in ... and yes and as a person living in Austria , i am annoyed that my taxes are spent on this. |

I've been on a tour trough to whole building.
The glass part is the courthouse where they are detained for a small period of time when they are trailed. Then they are brought to get concrete prison behind it where they serve there sentence. I personaly like to patch of grass on the roof where you can look at the mountainview. |

They made it glass because I doubt any of the prisoners want to escape. That prison is nicer than most of the house in my area. WTF!? |

I don't think this is a prison. Based on my loose knowledge of Dutch and German, "Justizzentrum" translates into Justice Centre. I'm not sure about the leobon part, it might be the city or state.I'd still like to go and stay a few nights there though. |
