Wednesday, September 12, 2007 9:50:09 PM 10 had no problem passing inspection with one. The only thing I can see that would make it illegal is the five point harness. I still don't understand that rule, by the way.

"It's the equivalent of you telling a doctor how to preform surgery. You have no basis for your petty arguments." roostery car guys on the internet always show off. Links, bitch. Show me why you're the mighty surgeon of racing. (Man that was fun to type!) "Tires can be changed but that makes little difference. That car has slicks on it in the video which are illegal for street use." Watch it again. He has radials when he's driving it on the street and slicks when it's at the track. Which is why being able to change tires is important when one of the only reasons you say it's illegal is the tires. If a cop wanted to be a prick he would give a fine for 'obstruction of view' There are many other things on that car that would be considered illegal in some states. I doubt where he lives in the UK they have these kinds of laws. Makes me want to move there because of it. Maybe they also have less guys who run at the mouth like you do too. |

Sunday, September 02, 2007 1:42:03 PM I'm thinking top speed isn't as great as it could be, because of the aerodynamics and all that jazz. Maybe that's why they didn't include it. |

Sunday, September 02, 2007 6:57:31 AM "icantthink41 its in km, something like 37 mph "actually it is 60 M.P.H. In britain we still use miles not kilometres. It's mainland europe that uses the metric system. Not everything the simpsons says is true :D |

Sunday, September 02, 2007 2:21:17 AM Sh*t, not 3.90s in street legal. I'm mixing things up in my head, the 3.90s were in the heads up outlaw type classes. Never liked the heads up racing, but it is impressive to see a million and a half dollars worth of cars at the line at the same time. Those guys are f*cking insane, though. |

Sunday, September 02, 2007 2:13:23 AM 'Anyway cars built before 1985 are EXEMPT from pollution standards completely in America so this WOULD be 100% street legal in the USA.'1974 here, but that's basically for everything exhaust related outside a muffler. After that and you have to have all the extra sh*t. And guys are running the 1/8 mile in 3.90s now in street legal classes, so this guy really is behind the curve, but the world went gay for that quarter mile sh*t after those godforsaken fast and the furious movies came out. And the car would be legal, sh*theads. Tires are not very important as they can be changed and the DOT approves radically unsafe things, anyway. It appeared to have all the lights working and you CAN'T OUTLAW A F*CKING HOOD, DIPSH*T ABOVE ME. |

Sunday, September 02, 2007 1:51:00 AM No actually it would be illegal in the US to drive it on the street. The hood is considered illegal and if those are slicks they are illegal too for street use. But the cops shouldn't bother you too much because there are millions of highly modified classic cars on the roads here.I own a type of car like in this video, and it's not fully street legal. I've had it for over ten years now so I think I might know whats legal and whats not. I never get bothered by the cops. I don't street race and mainly only drive it to car shows. So I don't get bothered. This video is old and caused a lot of controversy back when it first appeared. The reason being is a good majority of the claims made about it were half truths at best. |

Saturday, September 01, 2007 6:36:15 PM Actually it WOULD be street legal in the US because the only issue we have is with our high pollution standards (the uk has high higher fuel economy focuses with high gas taxes etc and much lower pollution standards).Anyway cars built before 1985 are EXEMPT from pollution standards completely in America so this WOULD be 100% street legal in the USA. Anyway, the issue here is that the car is not very stable. While not being easy to get to 2500 hp, (even some of the most unstable engines which last only 24 hours of driving, produce 1500hp), and clearly his probably lasts a year of driving between rebuilds. It's still running probably 50% more HP than it should. The Veyron produces 1000hp yes but it will last 30 years instead of 1. |

Saturday, September 01, 2007 4:35:49 PM You'd be better off buying a Bugatti Veyron. 253 miles per hour top speed (411 kph). Unfortunately, it costs 1.4 million bucks, so... |

Saturday, September 01, 2007 2:26:04 PM No srpatata. You do not have a car as fast as that one. You don't even understand what 0 to 60 mph in one second means. 0 to 60 in one second. 5 miles to gallon. Hes not going on road trips with it. |
