Sunday, September 02, 2007 3:18:22 PM alright, we don't need someone to say pigs are smarter than dogs every 5 posts.besides, we eat pigs and not dogs because dogs are more useful, and pigs are a lot more fat. but man, that pig knows more tricks than my dog : / |

Sunday, September 02, 2007 12:31:21 PM so what if pigs are a bit smarter than some other animal. theyre all pretty dumb compared to humans. and thats why were the ones eating them, instead of the other way around. |

Sunday, September 02, 2007 1:39:13 AM "Where do you guys get the notion of pigs are smarter than dogs. The pig was clearly trained by body language. Every time the master told him to bow, he bent over and folded his hands behind his back. Probably in training when the owner did that the pig was forced into bowing like that. Can pigs guide blind people? No. That training is much too sophisticated for pigs."Where do you get the notion that dogs understand words? It's the same with them. They just recognize speech patterns and motions. And at less than 1 year old...a dog isn't going to be able to do that much usually. They say a dog's average IQ is 12, which is not suprisingly higher than my ex's. |

Saturday, September 01, 2007 9:22:32 PM TonyGCleff: they said in the clip that the pig was barely a year old. I'm sure it wasn't too much of a strain to learn those tricks. I'm sure anything that stimulates their mind and body is a change for them anyway considering most pigs lay in crates for their 'entire lives' and are generally treated like they're nothing. It's sad to see how people's diets affect their compassion. Pigs are smarter than or at least as smart AS dogs, and yet we slaughter them and don't give it a second thought. We see their remains in the freezer at the market and assume that that is all they can contribute and all they're good for: eating. It's disgusting. Grr. |
