other governments probably are trying to breed human/chimp hybrids. They would probably have more strength than the average human.
But if there ever was a human/chimp hybrid, I wouldn't classify it as human and give it human rights. But that's just me. |

You can argue with that statement all you like but it's science fact. It's not an argument with God and it dosnt acctually disprove intelligent design (as stupid an idea as it is)...but it does poke a big hole in it because it proves how similar to apes we are. Of course you can put a spin of any nature on it, but I've yet to meet anyone who belives in intelligent design who would agree we share anything in common with apes. |

It's speculated he is but without finding others like him (so far he's alone) it cant be confirmed.RyanF701. LOL at you. What does intelligent design have to do with a human + monkey mating?....Umm, according to said rules of of the intelligent design movement we dont come from monkeys and we are not related. 2 seperate species can not mate and produce offspring...Cat cant breed with dog but cat can breed with cat. Horse cant breed with cow but can breed with donkey..because they have the same "evolutionary ancestors"..they are offshoots of the same species. Same with the Humanzee. We can produce hybrid offspring with chimps therefore we are all part of the same ape family...Simple! |

maddog: hah....yeah, kinda half-asleep when i wrote that. Anyhow, I did say I saw it a /long time ago/....What i do remember is that they did tests on him and tests on various people to see how he would compare. it seems he has something extra that other chimps don't that makes him just a teeny step closer to humans. I forgot if it was a chromosome or something in his DNA or what, I can't remember that bit.
But I do, in fact, remember them saying that he isn't a humanzee and is part of a group of chimps that are like that. That I do remember because I was disappointed in hearing he isn't one-of-a-kind... |

MarthFador: sorry but what your saying is "Kind of" wrong. You can watch the whole thing by clicking on the video.
Oliver is either a mutant, new species or part of a previously undicovered breed of chimp. There are no records of any other type of chimp like him. You cant say he's a mutation and then say he's part of a rare breed. Neither have been confirmed or disproven.
The half breed part discussed in the documentory WILL happen. It is only a matter of time, just like cloning. I dont like it anymore than anyone else, but at some point it will be done. |
