That trick wouldn't work if your victim knew that each opposite side of a die adds up to seven. |

Is it me, or are some people failing to see how this is done, despite his explanation..
The opposite sides adding to 7 is fairly common knowledge no need for everyone to repeat it loads of times. |

Oh, and to the overpoweringly 13-17 crowd that's badmouthing this trick: The absolute best trick is the absolute simplest, and the vast majority of people (say, non-gamers and non-gamblers, and that's a HUGE demographic)don't know jack about the spots on a die, they just know that doubles will get them out of jail in Monopoly. |

I didn't fall for it at all. I knew something was up because if you take a dice and pick a number lets use 5 (number a) then the number on the other side (number b) must make number a + number b = 7. So in the case of 5 the opposite side would be 2.The Number/Opposite sides.
