Tuesday, August 07, 2007 2:18:21 PM That clip was from Anthony Bourdain's No Reservations show in Korea. Tony himself was able to break one of those plates with his fist with little to no effort. Yes it is impressive to be able to do that, but without power behind the kicks, it is more "arts" than "martial". Plus... they do a dance routine in class too... hardly a learn to fight class. |

Monday, August 06, 2007 7:05:10 PM To all the people saying "The boards are precut/paper thin."So what, can you do that kick? People are missing the point, regardless of the board thickness, something like that is hard as hell to do. That said, drating cool |

Monday, August 06, 2007 2:52:08 PM yes he accually broke the wood its not that hard... ive been in tei kwon do for about 7 months... on me first month i broke a real (slightly harder than these) wood board... the breaking of the board is not all that impressive... its the accuracy that is stunning and the fact that 3 kicks in one jump broke all the boards is amazing. |

Monday, August 06, 2007 11:05:45 AM Ok, that was pretty impressive. What was even more impressive was just how flexible he was, especially on the last kick. How can a person get his legs so far apart?

Sunday, August 05, 2007 10:25:23 PM Very cool, but very short. They could have at least shown a second or two before and after so I can rewind it and actually see the approach. A slow-mo replay would also have been nice.
