I agree that Paris getting out of jail isn't news, and i agree with the newsladdy, but she's not being professional. The least she could do is just read the story, and when the show was over scream at the producer. Less chances of getting fired that way... |

Whoa, Whoa! I'm not Anti American! Its just TV... Ive not seen much American news to know whether newscasters are always so casual in the US, but if its a news discussion show, then yeah, its fine, you must admit, if it was a normal newsreader, it would've been a bit weird!Also I love the US, I have friends and relatives over there, and am going over there on holiday/vacation later in the year, this was just a simple question, the only other American stuff Ive brought up is 'American humor', which I dont like, but 'British humour' gets brought up a lot too. And for the record, I hate Paris Hilton, I was just sharing my opinion and asking a question. |

I hardly ever visit (let alone post) on this site anymore thanks to its ever-increasing moron contingent (some of which is already admirably represented on this thread), but...that woman is absolutely AWESOME. She single-handedly redeems a spark of faith in newscasters and americans both. Endless kudos to her. A shame the other two haven't found the right subway track to fall into though.Oh and to the few remaining americans who still have enough sense/decency/awareness (take your pick) to wonder why the country is so completely f-ed up, and why more people don't have the guts and integrity that lady shows, well you don't have to look any further than brain-dead mouth-breathers like BigBonny and MonkeyAbuser, for the answer. |

Good for the newslady. I don't think Paris needs to be on the news. EVER. She's slatternly enough anyways, and now that she's out of jail, it's just gonna get worse. I've already seen enough of her in tabloid pictures of her getting out of a car, I don't need to see the rest of her getting out of jail. |

personally I'd prefer not to be a mindless drone like BigBonny or any one else that said she should just read it. If you don't like something about your job, change it, or quit. She obviously was attempting the former. She was feeling a little on edge it seemed but she still got her point across rather than giving hilton more air time. Pairs is retarded and no one should care if she goes to jail or stays there.Pairs is only known by anyone because of all the money her family has, not that she has personally done anything noteworthy. Oh I wish I could see this at work...some videos dont upload. But from what i read, good for her. A rich socialite from Beverly Hills is not news, no matter how jail "changed" her. Even freakin Larry King interviewed her last night. She won't change. My favorite was Andersond Cooper on 360 who said he couldn't stand the interview, and he hated her. |

Sadly, the question is "what is news?" If people really didn't want to hear about Paris Hilton (I personally don't), then the press wouldn't talk about her because there'd be no profit in it. But unfortunately we still live in a country (world?) where millions of drivel-hungry idiots are buying celebrity gossip off the racks faster than they can print it.
