This is not real.Mythbusters proved that to catch an arrow going at even a slow speed, you would need super human reflexes. Bask in the japanese fakeness. |

Anyone with average 0.25 second reflexes could do that with practice. Just need to learn when to go for the catch. That was a rather long recurve bow anyway..a shorter one would provide a lot more speed, especially if the guy was actually pulling to his full draw length. That'd make it a lot more difficult. |

This is just another attempt by Japanese tv to make themselves look uber. The bullet splitting katana, this, etc, its not exactly hard to do these things, all swords can cut bullets, and anyone can catch an arrow. |

Arrow Speed and human strength/dexterity are hard to surmise for a practical scientific study. All three could have been different then "myth busters" test.I've seen this done before and I've seen it stuffed up. Arrow speed is REALLY important. |

The fact they used a long bow is one thing, but look at the lenght of the arrow and the head and flights on it too, they are huge compared to a normal arrow and are designed to slow it down enough to make it easier to catch, my instructor used to do the same thing at displays |
