Wow, I will play devil's advocate then. I say you are all wrong so far. There are often times you will come to the same size containers like.. a bag of chips for instance: Same size bag and same product, but one size says "EXTRA 15% FREE!". Which one would you buy? They are not saying that the 15% is yours wether you purchase it or not. It means that you will pay the normal purchase price as the regular bag of chips and get more for your money at no extra cost. Everyone knows when you open a bag of chips, you will be lucky if it is 2/3 full. So If I saw two bags of Dorritos side by side and the same size, but one said "15% more!" on it and it was the same price, then I would get that one. It's called marketing and they would not do it if it did not work. |
