Sunday, June 10, 2007 12:04:36 AM Wow, everyone who calls people that they don't know (who happen to be homeless) worthless or disgusting are complete wastes of human life.No one on Earth chooses to be homeless. It happens to most from horrible circumstances out of their control. Trust me. |

Wednesday, June 06, 2007 11:45:08 PM You don't really know what happened...I mean that guy could have come in a couple more times bothering the employees/customers. But that doesn't mean all homeless people are spawn of the devil. I half hope that all of you people who treat the homeless like dirt someday can see what it's like to live like that. |

Wednesday, June 06, 2007 10:21:30 PM Shizzaster... you mean, like your attempt to insult me? Please try again later, I'm too busy having a life... And reading all the comments on IAB? nice. I never said I didn't have a life, but you're stereotyping an age bracket, and that's just idiotic. have a nice day.

Wednesday, June 06, 2007 2:11:37 PM "I do admit that some of these people live on the streets cause they are to proud to except help from family members and such"WTF? "they are to proud to except help"? First off, it should be: "they are TOO proud to ACCEPT help". Second of all (a double WTF nonetheless), how can you be proud of yourself for not accepting help when you are living on the streets? Seriously, you aren't doing any better for yourself, just accept the damn help. That's like being proud for not taking a vaccination or receiving any medical care at age 8 because your family would have had to pay for it, then dying from severe tetanus or botulism three weeks later. It doesn't make you independent or self-reliant, it makes you a dumbass. If they were actually taking the steps to get themselves out of their homelessness, THEN I would grant their sense of pride as valid. "Help" doesn't have to be a crutch, your actions can make it a boost. |

Wednesday, June 06, 2007 1:46:07 PM Actually, Homeless is all the rage on the catwalks of Milan. Homeless is in this fall. And you'll get your GAP flyer in the mail soon enough, with pre-stained shirts, pre-sweated sweaters, etc. |

Wednesday, June 06, 2007 10:30:07 AM i laughed more at HailSeitan's post then the actual video. bum."It can happen to anyone. Most people are indeed one missed paycheck away from street life." if this was true, there would be a lot more people on the streets. most homeless people are that way due to some addiction that makes it impossible for them to function in normal society or hold a job. there are a few exceptions but for the most part it's drug or alcohol addiction. and i doubt that many of the posters here are "silver-spooned bigots." i personally have worked hard all my life to get where i am now. i've been poor enough to be on welfare but worked multiple jobs to pull myself up. just because someone is financially independent doesn't mean that money was handed to them. most people worked long and hard for it. you come off sounding like a bitter ex-bum. get over it. |

Wednesday, June 06, 2007 2:17:11 AM I've been homeless. And its no walk in the f*ckin park. I refused to stay at a shelter, largely because its filled with junkies and the insane. And for most homeless people, its much easier and safer to sleep in a damn dumpster. If you dont have a home, you probally dont have a phone, which means you cant get a job. If you do have a job, it takes MONTHS to save for an apartment. Its the cost of living, not laziness that gets people. Its very tiring. You dont sleep too well, eat dumpstered pizza, and walk all day. Then you gotta worry about your safety and invisibility from others for the night, as well as rain and cops. It can happen to anyone. Most people are indeed one missed paycheck away from street life. And i'd f*ckin laugh so hard if i saw some of you silver-spooned bigots out there... Spanging for 20,000 a year huh? Have you ever spanged befor? Do you even know what the hell your talking about? |

Wednesday, June 06, 2007 2:03:42 AM Hey I do know what I am talking about. We do have homeless people, just not that many. Plus the subject is part of my course 'social agogics' at the university. I have done some fair research on this subject for a paper just a year ago. And i refuse to believe that most of these are living on the streets out of free will. Have you ever appalied for a job or some kind of wellfare? Then you should know they allways ask where you live. If it turns out you dont have any home, no work or wellfare for you in most cases. Besides, have you ever seen a homeless guy who looks healthy? Living on the streets just isn't healthy and not good for your mental state too. Do you really think these people are all willing to sacrifice their health just so they can be lazy as hell? I do admit that some of these people live on the streets cause they are to proud to except help from family members and such, so i cant speak for the population, but i refuse to believe they are all just lazy ass bums |
