Tuesday, June 05, 2007 4:32:03 PM He creates a supersaturated solution, which means that a single particle can start the acetate percipitation. Unfortunately, that isn't ice =PVery cool, but simple chemistry. |

Tuesday, June 05, 2007 1:35:39 PM I wonder if this is how they made some of the "iceman" effects in movies like X-men...? I wonder if you could just throw it at something and freeze it... I think Chibi_Ichigo is right. I want to be a super villian! |

Tuesday, June 05, 2007 12:06:46 PM that's cool. it's just like some renewable hand warmers I have. After you've done the experiment, you should be able to put it back into hot water and repeat the whole process. I don't know if somebody already said this, but I believe that happens b/c by letting the mixture cool off, you make it unstable(which is why one little touch will start that whole chain reaction). There is more dissolvent in the mixture than it can hold at a cool temp. |
