Monday, June 04, 2007 7:56:02 AM Hehe.. I'm a parking attendant at our extreme-sports centre in my town, and if we were ever to make a mistake like that the fine'd just get canceled. Also we take photos to prove the ticket notice is on the car. Sometimes, when someone's real sorry and real nice and actually made a genuine mistake (instead of being a cheap bastard who didn't want to pay 40p -about $0.20- for half an hour of drinking in the pub) then we can kinda 'forget' to take the last photo (or delete it fully) and totally let the person get away with it. :D This only works for expectant mothers-to-be and young drivers who're about to cry. So we're not all nasty bastards, and everyone gets the chance to appeal. (: |

Monday, June 04, 2007 7:29:02 AM LOL I know how he got out of it I had a speeding ticket myself and got out of it for nearly the same reason. Its due to the typo on both the date and make of the car. There is a loophole that they must get the make of the car correct. They listed my car as a silver toyota and I drive a silver Nissan Altima had to go to court didn't get to write a fancy letter. The judge looked pissed but couldn't do anything about it when I mentioned the discrepancy. I didn't even know it would get me off I was disputing the ticket in the first place since I had my cruze control on set a few miles an hour under the speed limit when I got pulled. But why be picky about how I got out of it? |

Monday, June 04, 2007 5:50:16 AM your_majesty: "what the hell does tl;dr mean? i guess its something negative, but i thought the letter was great."I thought the same thing - until I Googled and it was found in the Urban Dictionary. tl;dr means 'too long; didn't read'. I thought the letter was awesome and regardless of whether it is true or not, it still made a brilliant read to put me at ease before my last Uni exam this afternoon. |

Monday, June 04, 2007 5:46:09 AM I remember when I got a letter/fine for speeding, I just used the common loophole of the law and got away with it ;)But if this is real, kudos to the dude. That was class. |

Monday, June 04, 2007 5:25:24 AM It was OK. Here in the states if you dispute a ticket you most likely get the charge brought down. Only thing is you have to go to the court date set on the back of the ticket, no letters are excepted. |
