Sunday, September 16, 2007 3:37:39 PM i think that once you reach over 200... if you aren't a weight lifter, and you aren't over 6' 5", you're pretty much fat. i'm about 6' and i'm a guy, i don't even weight that much. |

Sunday, September 16, 2007 3:33:53 PM " why are people so ignorant?how can someone sit there and say "i dislike obese people for their lack of self discipline"....did it ever occur to you that maybe theres a medical reason for it?do you dislike people with cancer because they have a disease? not all "fat" people are fat because they lack self discipline...i was one of them...ive lost over 100lbs?(which i gainbed because of a medical condition) all im asking is that people think before they speak..you wouldnt think itd be such a hard concept and no, things arent easier for me...because ive had to work harder then you can imagine to get where i am"If you watch supersize me, they say that only 2% of all obese/overweight cases have been caused from medical problems. |

Wednesday, June 20, 2007 11:45:39 AM well.. she's a smart girl so she really shouldn't care about being fat or not. and from the looks of it, a lot of people here think she's an attractive woman. which is good. |

Wednesday, June 13, 2007 5:42:11 PM That was a good rant! She's right, as long as you are eating right and working out recommended amounts, what else can you do if you can't fit into a size two? She's a pretty girl, I would have guessed her to weigh about 20-30 pounds less than she says she is. |

Friday, May 11, 2007 3:32:20 PM "sugapuss6969 stop being so sexist, men go through the same thing if not worse because of people like you telling us were not supposed to care what we look like, yet we do."Yes, men suffer sooooo much from eating disorders. That's why only 10% of anorexics are men, right? Because men care so much about being thin? Give me a break. -_- |

Saturday, April 28, 2007 9:26:07 PM *From a skinny person*First, the woman in the video is far from ugly, but I think her perspective on obesity is warped. It is NOT OK to promote such an unhealthy lifestyle. In the video, she seems intelligent, however her message leaves me to believe otherwise. Unless a person has a medical condition, there's no excuse for anyone to be obese. I don't buy the, "It's not my fault, it's genetic," excuse. Control yourself!! Just because you've deluded yourself into thinking that being obese is acceptable, think again. It's obvious there are underlying problems that need to be addressed by a professional. I'm sorry, but that's the truth. PS. The reason why they don't have triple X (XXX - I don't even know what it looks like) sizes in H&M, Guess, etc. is because those clothes aren't meant to be worn by OBESE people. Maybe, and it's just a hunch, the designers have a soul and realize the public doesn't want to see their cute sundress on a fat person. I certai |

Tuesday, April 03, 2007 10:34:22 PM Obese literally means being over 20% body fat. It does not mean that she is physiologically unhealthy, or has problems relating to her size. |

Tuesday, April 03, 2007 5:28:43 PM there's nothing wrong with a bit of pudge, but this woman said her doctor has called her obese. that qualifies as unhealthy. so drat y'all you are whining about how narrow minded the rest of us are being. this woman's health is in danger, she's too goddamn fat. hooray that she's comfortable with it, though. |

Monday, April 02, 2007 6:38:57 PM I think it takes a lot of courage to make this video and post it on the internet. How many girls, as heavy or less heavy than her, can give their weight and say, "No. I'm fat. I understand that, I just don't care as much as you."Plus, as a person who was VERY large once (not that I'm small now) the whole clothes thing is annoying. The average size chick is a size 12, but you go into the fine clothing retailers and often times they sell very small sizes and nothing in the larger numbers. Fat people clothes are generally hideous (minus torrid). It's irritating. Plus, this whole, fat is unhealthy. Even at my heaviest, all my of #'s have been perfect. Blood pressure, blood counts, cholesterol, etc. Yes, being obese can be bad for your health, but just because you are fat doesn't mean you are unhealthy. |

Sunday, April 01, 2007 12:48:05 AM Hmm.... Half of the things she said I don't even remember (because she was damn annoying) or didn't agree with, but I really do agree with her "weight is just a number" thing.I'm a 14 year old girl, and 190lbs I'm also 6 feet tall, and slightly overweight, not obese. Most of the people I meet don't understand that I'm not going to weigh 130lbs. So, "how much do you weigh" has become my most dreaded question. |

Saturday, March 31, 2007 1:28:36 PM i can understand the dislike of being people that are unhealthy and "fat", because unhealthy-ness is rather unattractivebut why be so hateful to the people who are healthy and "fat"? there are women who are "fat" but are very attractive. so why put out the ultimatum that "all fat people are ugly"? that ultimatum that you put out there is what is making some of us say that you are close-minded. because you are basically saying that even if you ran into an attractive woman you would walk right by her in disgust, without a second thought, simply because she isn't skinny as all living hell. |

Saturday, March 31, 2007 12:04:49 PM Everybody has a different opinion. But don't bother saying that she's not "fat" when she seems to be proud of that. The important thing is that she's secure where she is, and about what she looks like. And to all of you who are calling her "fat-ass" and all that, you seriously need to give up your action figures, and move out of your parent's basements! |

Friday, March 30, 2007 5:25:09 PM Part of what she was saying is that you shouldn't be saying "well, she's 244, but she LOOKS like less, so that's not so bad!"She says that people should own up to their weight and not be ashamed. She also said that people SHOULD try to be healthy. Some fat people are VERY healthy. Basically, she was saying that you shouldn't use "I'm fat" as an excuse to stop improving yourself, and you also shouldn't stop living life, having fun, and trying new things because of your "fat". It's a great way to think. And to anyone that didn't think she was pretty, well, then, I'm sure that she has better things to do than be upset that you don't want to look at a fat girl. I'm sure that with her self-confidence and personality, she could have rewarding relationships even if she looked like Jabba . |
