As a freakishly dedicated violinist, I have to say that I'm not very impressed. Yeah, what he did was definatly cool, it was some fun music, but don't be overly impressed by his "skills", people. It's not that difficult. :) |

Very impressive!I love Apocalyptica. My uncle told me about the band not too long ago and sent me a DVD of them to check out. It was awesome! JAXLEY, personally... I think that spiccato is a rather difficult technique. (I'm not sure if you know the term but that's the bouncing of the bow.) I know that for myself especially, but other violinists as well, it takes a lot of practice to have that kind of control over the bow. |

If you think that was great, there's a guy in downtown Victoria (where I go to school) who dresses up like Darth Vader and Plays Violin...writes some of his own stuff, fricken hilarious...

Oh, and Led Zeppelin's "Battle of Evermore." The regional orchestra did a song called "Inferno" that was supposed to sound like Hell. They dragged chains and groaned, and there was a whip being cracked. It was sweet. |

I play violin in my highschool's orchestra, and our concerts have included "Sweet Dreams are Made of This," a medly of songs from various horror movies, the themes to both Pirates of the Carribean movies and King Kong, a few songs by Mannheim Steamroller, and "The Best of Greenday." |
