Saturday, March 17, 2007 7:12:01 PM Why is everyone implying that teenagers are the only stupid ones that try meth? Adults do it to, I am a teenager and i would never try try meth becuase i already know what it would do to me. The only drug i ever tried was weed but im not stupid enough to do it again, even thought i know it wouldnt to THAT much to me unless i took it loads. |

Saturday, March 17, 2007 6:47:44 PM SarahofBorg: You got it right--after all the "addictive/not addictive" argument, you hit it on the head. My experience is that while high on weed, you dream of wonderful, wonderous things to do. In fact, you dream faster than you could typically execute. Then you come down, and you have no desire to do much besides burn another bowl.BTW: what is the frigging secret to watching the meth videos? I roll over the titles and what-not, but they aren't links. other stuff I click on gets me pdf files. Anyone? |

Saturday, March 17, 2007 6:39:55 PM "be it drinking or drugs my reason not to do it is the same. if you do it to have a good time that means you dont like something about yourself and need help. if you do for other reasons you need help."not everyone who needs help can get help. It's a thousand times easier to do pot than to change your life. They say pot kills ambition. They're right, it replaces it when you realize that your dreams will never come true. |

Saturday, March 17, 2007 6:10:32 PM Those commercials are so sad. I started bawling my eyes out on the second one, but couldn't stop watching them. What's really scary is it's rumored that my house (I live in a very -ghetto- city) was a meth lab. |

Saturday, March 17, 2007 5:43:22 PM These commercials are very well done. I've never seen such powerful messages conveyed in 30 seconds.A definite 4 out of 4. |

Saturday, March 17, 2007 5:42:12 PM They should show these in Canada. Especially where I live. Meth is a huge problem here now and the people in these videos look like people I see just walking around the grocery store. We've even got a nickname now : Sel-crack, Meth-atoba. |

Saturday, March 17, 2007 5:30:00 PM I was addicted to meth for some time when I was younger. It was ugly, and terrible. Quitting was no fun, but I've been off of it for over ten years now. And it is only now that I'm starting to get my life and my mind together. I hope that just one person is affected by these commercials in such a way that they do not ever touch that drug. |

Saturday, March 17, 2007 5:18:19 PM for some reason i found boyfriend to be the most effective, as well as the one with the friends dropping the girl of at the hospital. It just shows how when you're that addicted, the drug is the only thing you can trust. |

Saturday, March 17, 2007 5:06:26 PM "Mistorobota, I'm not sure this is about the war on drugs, I think these commercials are about what can happen to you if you go down the Meth path.Sure everyone can chose for themselves, but at least be educated enough to chose wisely. Nothing good will ever come out of using meth." Right and a 30 second clip about stereotypical scenarios regarding meth really educates people. People will always find a vice no matter what it is. It might change the few who are easily swayed by just about anything, but no teenager will honestly rethink their drug habits. Scare tactics don't help teenagers, it just reinforces their paranoia about parents and their use of a given media outlet. |

Saturday, March 17, 2007 4:51:45 PM Pretty good commercials. I like 'em. My step dad was a drug addict and and alcoholic and when I was 5-7 I had to go to AA/drug meetings with him and wait on this little couch and these people would give me cookies, and in kindergarten the teacher asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up and I said "An alcoholic!" and the teacher asks, "...Why?!?" I said, "You get to eat cookies all day!"I got put in time out... |

Saturday, March 17, 2007 4:45:33 PM I'm from Montana and have to deal with this poo all the time on tv. They have advertisements and billboards all over the place too. I've never had a problem with meth but it has become a big problem in Montana. |

Saturday, March 17, 2007 4:02:57 PM I watched them and at first only pictured fictional means to scare people away from drugs. Then half-way through, I realized I recognized the personalities of a few of those people, and it makes me sad. This isn't fiction... this is absolute reality. -And that makes me cry.Hope these are effective. |
