Wednesday, March 14, 2007 1:55:01 AM "There's an accent, with inflections. Then there's the point where you're saying a different word."I agree. Even without an accent, for the joke to work, it needs to be pronounced "I-Rack" |

Wednesday, March 14, 2007 1:47:48 AM Saw it when it aired over the weekend and loved it. I thought it was clever and very well done. "Does everyone here want me to take things outof the iRack?" *audience saying yes* "I hear what you're saying and the answer is no!" Best part of the whole sketch. |

Wednesday, March 14, 2007 1:47:18 AM I'm also surprised about the amount of discussion devoted to what amounts to simply an accent. An American accent is not mispronunciation. |

Wednesday, March 14, 2007 1:40:02 AM It took me a while to get it, but only due to the American pronouciation of Iraq. Seriously, that's odd. I'm going to check how it's actualy pronounced. "EE-rawq" NOT EYE RAK.Also, technically, it was an invasion. I'm pleased that you are in such a dangerous proffesion, hopefully there will be less of your type in a short period of time. |

Wednesday, March 14, 2007 1:39:23 AM I can't believe you hold yourself out as being able to read. The central argument here is not one of when/how we should leave, but rather what constitutes an accurate depiction of the state of things in the Middle East. And, by the way, the not-so-radical Islamists don't care for us so much any more either. Furthermore, one can disagree with the war without proposing a premature withdrawal. What's egregious here is the pretenses under which we obligated ourselves to this farce. And why don't you come a little more specific with your accusations than "you people"? Have a seat and continue to spectate. Your time in creating a profile so you could post was time you could have spent being significantly more productive. Time you could have spent learning how to discern an argument from a passing statement, since you seem to have completely missed the point in these back-and-forth posts. |

Wednesday, March 14, 2007 1:35:23 AM "Wow...Definitely didn't mean for this to turn into a giant debate. Hahaha."Don't you know, you can't post anything about global warming, the middle east, or...well...just about anything that has conflicting viewpoints. THIS IS the internet |

Wednesday, March 14, 2007 1:25:02 AM I can't believe the comments here. I think you people say whatever it seems popular to say on these posts. If we leave there too soon the "millions" that it will be tragic for will be us. What part of radical islamists hate us don't we understand? Get a grip and then get an understanding of your world. |

Wednesday, March 14, 2007 1:03:36 AM And I don't need you to explain yourself. I am simply tearing apart your initial 'lashing out' against liberalism. If you recall, it was you who started the accusations flying with crazy, regurgitated arguments that have been fed to you by your Commanders. 'Embolden our enemies.' I can't believe you actually wrote that. If you are going to vomit up old rhetoric, at least disguise it in your own words so it's not so obvious. You sound like a turntable playing the broken Bush record. |

Wednesday, March 14, 2007 12:58:56 AM There was no lashing out there. You confuse impassioned with emotional. What you seem to be saying is that because I agree with the media, that I am being misled. You assume because I agree with the media that I do not 'discover the validity' of the reports. How can you reconcile your "make up your own mind" position with your "the media is wrong" position? You have made a lot of assumptions that support you. Primarily, that one's decision to be opposed to this war is spoon fed to them by the media and that they blindly follow. Is it not possible that one's opinion is both informed AND opposed to the war? Of course it is. How, then, can you generally accuse those opposed of being led in their opinions? All of this is particularly ironic, Marine, because they are those in the military who are bound and expected to follow orders without question. You, sir, are the epitome of 'sheep.' |

Wednesday, March 14, 2007 12:36:44 AM You cannot possibly have an objective thought process if you act out on your emmotions. Lashing out at me does not help you at all. It does not matter where you hear wisdom, so long as you are wise enough yourself to discover the validity of it. So, I have heard a few voices out there, everyone does at some time or another. I didn't just take their word for it, I sought out the validity of it and found what I found, simple as that. I am allowed to be wrong, in fact I hope I am. That is how I learn. But explaining myself to you really does not matter huh? You would rather I fight with you right? |

Wednesday, March 14, 2007 12:25:07 AM hmmmm...'embolden our enemies' huh?Sounds like someone is regurgitating information from highly reliable sources. I'll stick with the news, thanks. Again, I don't know where you are getting all of this information. The way you have spun things, the ONLY way one could make an informed decision is if (s)he were actually present for each event necessary to make such a decision. You got your information somewhere as well. Only you are too proud to admit that your sources have their own agenda as well. Furthermore, I am very trusting in a media that looks at the government in the most critical light. Nothing a government does can be scrutinized too much. If we can look at our government in the most unfavorable light, then we are more apt to make changes. If everything is going 'okay' then there is little room for improvement. Go chant your 'liberal media=devil' bs elsewhere. Take it up with the media and make a change if you're so concerned about it. |

Tuesday, March 13, 2007 9:13:48 PM The problem with being an activist is that an activist is, in affect, a fanatic and cannot be taught. Of course, there are always exceptions, but generally speaking, an activist refuses to listen to the reason of the other side. I am not an activist and I am capable of learning. I will listen to you if you have logic to present to me. So, given what I just said and what you have said, and all the debates, etc. All this still does not provide answers. However, I will tell you that whatever the reason for us to be in Iraq right now is, the answer is NOT to retreat. We can fight in a different direction, but retreat we should not. Personally I think we should respond to terrorism in the most brutal way possible, keep the media out of it and let the bodies speak for themselves. But it will never happen. What do you think we should do Dumaspere? |
