Thursday, March 01, 2007 6:35:11 PM This is only a small section of the entire program, which I watched a few months ago. It's pretty interesting. |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 6:18:45 PM just so you know, he said that you can't go past the time you turn it on, so he and everyone else CAN'T go to any time past the time it was turned on. so, if it was turned on may 3rd 2009, thats as far back as you go. |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 5:06:31 PM if you think about it, it puts us in danger just for his dumb dad. what if he does go back in time. that could screw up the whole universe and we could be never born. too risky i would say... for everyone. i hope he doesnt make it |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 5:00:35 PM roller_03- everyone is continually moving through the 4th dimension as time passes. time is in that aspect one-dimensional, a time-line. time travelling is moving across that line (forward, backward) in an irregular way |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 4:40:22 PM But if we went back already wouldn't it of already happened so anybody going back in time would of happened already and been seen. If like he said it's just one time-line like a rope. Anything he would of done has happened, so basically i guess it never happens but it could still be real just, noone has come back... that's my 2 cents. |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 3:40:44 PM I wonder if he thought of this: If he would succeed in making a time machine, and travel back in time to save his fathers life, why didn't his father live longer? Or, if his father had lived, he wouldn't have gotten the motivation of building a time machine in the first place. So there's your first paradox.bubba_gum- you're an idiot |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 2:21:36 PM Technically, don't time machines already exist? Isn't everything a time machine since we are all moving through time? Also, using the clip comparison of the paper and the paperclip, how can we expect, as pieces of paper, to exist in or move ourselves into the 4th dimension? Just as he was saying that the paper can't understand what is going on with the paperclip, how can we say that we then understand what is going to happen with the 4th dimension when we are in the 3rd? Rules might exist that we can not fathom or even begin to understand. |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 1:43:58 PM idk but it could be like it goes into another dimension just like this one. so its possible that we have sent something but we really don't know it. something like Back to the Future where Marty knows that the mall was called "twin pine mall" but if you recall he ran over one of the pine trees so when he went back it was called "lone pine mall" |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 9:34:39 AM Kinda cool if he makes a machine, yell out "EUREKA!!!", turn it on... and we all fall into a black hole! |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 8:59:16 AM Blablablablablablablablablablablablablabla okay? bla. here's an example of someone who will never succeed in his dream. did i mention blabla. There is only NOW in the objectivity of the universe, time is just a tool. Yes if you could keep up with or outspeed the speed of light u could see past images. but thats not diffirent from television. I'm glad i dont have to pay tax for that pointless instrument. |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 7:54:59 AM i made a joke post about a crazy scientist who attempted to travel through time with vacuum tubes and used your post as evidence and we are both reading too much into this. Fear not, i didn't accuse you of being overly insightful. I would never be so rude to a stranger. |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 7:47:50 AM "So however nonsensical, your post became relevent."Uh-huh. I was jokingly referring to the US Senator who called the Internet a 'series of tubes.' As for what lucid676 said...I'm not sure it connects at all. Either you're reading too much into what I said, or I'm reading too much into what you're saying. |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 5:22:55 AM NOt wow at all....all we need is some retard to send something or one back in time and drat everything up to the point where we dont exist because of something that they made happen. People need to leave certain poo alone. The world is not interesting if everything is discovered! We need mystery! ARRG~! |

Offlinelucid676 Male, 18-29, Western US 5 Posts Wednesday, February 28, 2007 5:35:28 AM There is an amazing interview about this guy done by this american life at thislife.org. It covers how he tried to make a time machine out of vacuum tubes when he was a kid. Then mine followed his. So however nonsensical, your post became relevent. |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 4:35:47 AM "If RUKidding's logic holds any water, he was closer back then than he is now. Which really only creates another time paradox, if you think about it."HylianNinja: I presented logic? Um, I think you may have confused me with somebody else. |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 1:47:46 AM Umm... I know how to travel either forward or backwards in time. If you want to go into the past, walk west, and future, east. Cuz time is late to the west and early in the east. Pretty clever huh? Well anyway, yea. I doubt ill live to see the day I can go back... Just go back. Ahhhh.. That would be so cool. But a person can dream, cant he?... CANT HE?!?!?! |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 1:19:28 AM there will never be a time machine because stuff like 9/11, pearl harbor, both world wars, etc. happened and i would think that those are some things to go back and prevent from happening |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 12:59:25 AM i think if that dude keeps fuwking with that machine, he will create a black hole and get us all sucked in...just think about it, really think about it, the only possible outcome is a black hole... |

Thursday, March 01, 2007 12:56:08 AM Time travel into the future exists and is easy to do. All you gotta do is just STAND THERE!!! and soon you'll be in the future in no time! |
