just so you know, he said that you can't go past the time you turn it on, so he and everyone else CAN'T go to any time past the time it was turned on. so, if it was turned on may 3rd 2009, thats as far back as you go. |

if you think about it, it puts us in danger just for his dumb dad. what if he does go back in time. that could screw up the whole universe and we could be never born. too risky i would say... for everyone. i hope he doesnt make it |

roller_03- everyone is continually moving through the 4th dimension as time passes. time is in that aspect one-dimensional, a time-line. time travelling is moving across that line (forward, backward) in an irregular way |

But if we went back already wouldn't it of already happened so anybody going back in time would of happened already and been seen. If like he said it's just one time-line like a rope. Anything he would of done has happened, so basically i guess it never happens but it could still be real just, noone has come back... that's my 2 cents. |

I wonder if he thought of this: If he would succeed in making a time machine, and travel back in time to save his fathers life, why didn't his father live longer? Technically, don't time machines already exist? Isn't everything a time machine since we are all moving through time? Also, using the clip comparison of the paper and the paperclip, how can we expect, as pieces of paper, to exist in or move ourselves into the 4th dimension? Just as he was saying that the paper can't understand what is going on with the paperclip, how can we say that we then understand what is going to happen with the 4th dimension when we are in the 3rd? Rules might exist that we can not fathom or even begin to understand. |

idk but it could be like it goes into another dimension just like this one. so its possible that we have sent something but we really don't know it. something like Back to the Future where Marty knows that the mall was called "twin pine mall" but if you recall he ran over one of the pine trees so when he went back it was called "lone pine mall" |

Yes if you could keep up with or outspeed the speed of light u could see past images. but thats not diffirent from television. I'm glad i dont have to pay tax for that pointless instrument. |

There is an amazing interview about this guy done by this american life at thislife.org. It covers how he tried to make a time machine out of vacuum tubes when he was a kid. Then mine followed his. So however nonsensical, your post became relevent. |

Umm... I know how to travel either forward or backwards in time. If you want to go into the past, walk west, and future, east. Cuz time is late to the west and early in the east. Pretty clever huh? Well anyway, yea. I doubt ill live to see the day I can go back... Just go back. Ahhhh.. That would be so cool. But a person can dream, cant he?... CANT HE?!?!?! |

there will never be a time machine because stuff like 9/11, pearl harbor, both world wars, etc. happened and i would think that those are some things to go back and prevent from happening |
