Tuesday, February 27, 2007 1:53:05 PM OfflineTyrizzleHmmm...Usually people who do these sorts of stunts bring boats around them to make sure this kind of thing doesn't happen don't they?...Just like that one guy that swam some gulf. ----------------------------- The smart ones do... you don't attempt to break a world record as dangerous as crossing the ocean alone, you bring some one along with instructions not to help you unless its really critical, like your boat capsizing while your sleeping.

Tuesday, February 27, 2007 1:03:12 AM I agree with Maddog. If nobody pursued their dreams after they had kids, then where would we be as a race? People don't all achieve great things when they're 18 and younger, you know.. |

Monday, February 26, 2007 11:53:22 PM Ok guys..I'm going to explain this one more time for the small minded one's calling this guy selfish! You do not I REPEAT do not stop living your life because you have children. Love and support them, yes! Be there when they need you yes..but stop following your dreams and desires?Freddyferret. This guy wanted to set a record. Wanted to prove that something could be done. now look at a fireman. He puts his life on the line everyday. Would you want him to stop because he has kids? What about a truck driver? he could crash and leave his kids behind? It can be applied to ANY senario. He took a calculated risked. He planned this for 10 years! He was NOT selfish. It's very sad but stop using the argument that because your a parent you shouldnt do things. Everything has a risk. |

Monday, February 26, 2007 10:59:59 PM Probably the most badass thing I've ever read on iab. It actually is rather heart breaking to know he came so close to doing something that really is rather impressive and incredibally dangerous. |

Monday, February 26, 2007 10:54:38 PM I think it's sad and selfish. I have no problem with people who want to take risks like that, but don't have kids if you do. The kid will grow up without a father now and that's not right. If you're going to put yourself in dangerous situations don't have kids until you're done with it. |

Monday, February 26, 2007 9:11:17 PM "I want to encourage Finlay to have his dad's strength, courage and integrity and just to have his dad's incredible belief that anything is possible." sounds like the crocodile hunters daughter saying thAT SHE WANTS TO TEACH PEOPLE THAT THEESE ANIMALS ARNT DANGEROUS! ...HER DADS PROOF OF THAT |
