Saturday, February 17, 2007 2:03:29 PM Yeah, my teacher did that last year, I think. Still cool. We also did that thing where you add some chemical to make the penny hollow (just the copper shell left). |

Saturday, February 17, 2007 1:08:51 PM "It's real, I did this in school, but if you try to use the penny, it's illegal." technically, its illegal to TURN the penny the dfferent color, not just use it, youre defacing government property |

Saturday, February 17, 2007 1:06:11 PM That's cool. But seriously, it's illegal to damage coins...not that anyone cares about that law anyways. So basically, when you use one of those penny press machines at tourist attractions, you're breaking the law. But as I said, no one cares, although you can't use them. |

Saturday, February 17, 2007 12:54:08 PM I'd like to use the silver ones and completely confuse people, cause it would loook so much like a dime. But I don't think i'd ever get the energy to do it.

Saturday, February 17, 2007 10:24:42 AM Um - it doesn't turn gold. Zinc + copper = BRASS you made a brass penny - and yes, stores accept them - Who cares about pennys anyway? |
