TRiidinglo, when was the last tiem you did a virus scan/looked at pornographies, like orgies, gang-bangs, and hot girl on girl action?**
It's real easy for to get a virus if you use Windows, which 9/10 times you do.As for the "Most Secure" award, none of you ar right. It goes to Commodore 64, posthumously. A 64 has never gotten a virus. It has a few bugs, but never a virus. There weren't any tube-like internets,or dick drives to transmit them with. ** Best. Epitaph. Ever. |

that was funny. I liked watching finder sing. I know nothing about MACs, as i never realy had a computer until ... last month (honestly, the internet is pretty new to me), and it is an hp. We have windows xp.

You only get viruses EVER on ANY computer if you are an idiot and don't know what you are doing. Neither of our PCs have gotten a virus in a really long time, and probably only had one or two small ones in the past five years. So the macs are more secure thing is Bullsh*t.And I know from personal experience that there is almost no difference between mac/PC for graphical design. If anything, PCs are better. In any case, the software you have makes a bigger difference for that than anything else. And everyone stop with the freaking HIPPIE TALK! No they are not 'just different.' There is always a better one. We can't all be wonderful friends. |

ok, as far as the "macs don't have viruses but PCs do" crap, here goes.
1) Windows has viruses. How often do you hear about Linux/Unix viruses? You don't. Why? For the most part, they don't exist, much like viruses on the Mac. For the most part. They do, on both counts, just very rare.
2)Why are they so rare on Macs and *nix? Yes the system/kernel is more secure than your run of the mill windows system/kernel. Additionally, the user of either is also a little more secure, if you follow my meaning. But further more, the user rate is low. Just like over the past year the security flaws being found in firefox have been going up and opera and safari remains low. As more people use it, more flaws become uncovered. That's how it works.FYI, personally I run a dual boot of XP/ubuntu on a PC with booting of DSL off a cd or jumpdrive as I see fit. I browse with FireFox or Opera, using IE only when absolutely necessary. |

I don't get why the whole Mac vs. PC crap has gotten so popular.. Just buy what you prefer and stfu.. Macs are designed for computer illiterate retards, that's why they put them in elementary schools.. PC's might have a boring layout but they sure as hell get the job done.. |

Heres my viewMacs are computers for the people who love to use graphics design, and other visual programs.
They are also good computers for the computer illiterate since their inteface is so easy to use, and the major advantage is that they have no viruses so macs are very great in the aspect. PC's, on the other hand are for people who game/program. it is also for the people who know a little about computers, but i have found it harder to teach people on a pc than a mac. they are also good for manipulation and probably are the most software compatible OS' on the market Linux on the other hand are for computer veterans, and are very good computers to program and mess with. they are exremely secure but the interface is difficult to deal with. but once you know your way around linux you will get hooked to it. my point is that all OS' have their advantages and disadvantages and arguing about it is a waste of time. Well id talk about this more but im running out of characters. |

I have been, and probably always will be a PC user (please note that i said PC user and not Windows user). I like the fact that I can personally repair, upgrade, and choose exactly what hardware I want/need. Windows is something that is suffered through. I've never had a large issue that I hadn't caused with my computer, but for utility I use aston. Aston also makes it look pretty. But anyways, did anyone else think that instead of green, it should have been the blue lightsabre (of death)? |
