I remember seriously wanting to build one of these one summer when I was younger. I remember an ammo idea that would be a lot better than a tennis ball. If you keep a section of the barrel, you can cap it and freeze a perfectly fitted ice "bullet" that can do some serious damage, especially if you were to make it have a pointed tip. |

This my freinds is called an AIR CANNON I have one of these babies in the back of my car kinda fun explaining it to the campus police.... Anything you can get down the barrel is open for impromtu aviation training. Never thought to shoot it at the tennis players though...and now to the Country Club for a completly unrelated reason..... |

Wow. I built one of these last year that shot at 105psi, the best it did was a d-cell battery straight through a ~1/16" thick steel wheelbarrow with a fist-sized hole. I shot a monitor at a slightly longer distance with it and it took several shots before a BATTERY busted it. The coolest thing is the 'hoooooo' howl they do after they fire off :)BTW, for about $30 and 30 minutes you can build one of these from Lowes. Get one 4" pvc pipe, a cap for the back, a tire valve to fill it, a smaller pipe for the barrel and a $15 sprinkler solenoid. Cement it all together and fill with an air compressor!
