the onyl thing i disagree with is that singers shoudl write their own music.that is inherantly flawed logic. a great singer shoudl eb able to shine even if she doesnt write her own music. look at arethra franklin, she writes a little but not all. and its the opposite as well, a great writer should not have to be a great singer to be heard. the symbiotic relationship is much needed to bring the best music possible. some peoepl are just lucky, they can write and sing, but i dont think its needed. |

I can't stand it when I overhear people at school say that "Oh my God, don't you just LOVE Paris Hilton's CD?". That CD is total crap and you know it. She had a special team working to make her seem great. Now take somebody who writes their own songs, and can actually play an instrument. How about Avril Lavigne? When people talk about her, all I hear is "Ugh. I hate her! She sucks!"Does she? When Paris Hilton sings live, oh God it's terrible (well at least from the YouTube movie I saw). But when Avril Lavigne sings live, it's pretty darn good. |

Funny part is, that she is like one of my good friends I went to Highschool with and she's only 19 and a wonderful singer but just sings different for the purpose of the show and shes not spoiled at all you should get to know people before you judge them |

And this is why everyone thinks that they can sing these days. With enough money, you too can create terrible music.And, no, she wasn't pretty. Anyone the right kind of makeup anyone can really be made pretty (I know these techniques, they're easy to spot on people. I do amateur makeup.), but she clearly has little natural beauty. |

I play guitar (been practicing for about 5 years) and I took choir for a few years and this is horrible. I knew about this for a long time, but I'm glad so many people are against it. Many people work hard to get where they are, but the people who just look nice get all of the attention, and the actual good singers/musicians out there are getting completely ignored. >_< |

this is sad. america is so lazy, they dont want to be able to actually sing. they just have a computer program to do it for them. you can have a girl whose voice that sounds like a dying elephant, but happens to be hot, so she becomes a star. what happened to the good 'ol days, when singers could actually sing? |

I thought the song was lousy, but the demonstration of how the vocals could be computer-adjusted was interesting. The clip could have been much shorter without the crummy song, though. |

Why does everyone act as if Paris Hilton's had trillions of hits? Hasn't she only had like 2 songs on the chart somewhere. I don't even think they went number one once. Let it go. She has more money than you and she doesn't let the fact that she's talentless get in the way of that. In retrospect, I'd much rather be her than bash her on the Internet. |
