Wednesday, December 06, 2006 4:27:03 PM Ryan14, there're more people in the eastern USA because that's where they first landed from England, it took them over a hundred years to make it to the west coast, and in that time the east coast was hugely populated/civilized. |

Wednesday, December 06, 2006 12:29:51 PM ^I suspected as much, but never knew how interesting and organized it looked. But what is even more interesting is the zipdecode program that this page links to.The first digit of a zip code reveals the region it belongs to. 0: New England and New Jersey 1: New York and Pennsylvania 2: Eastern States 3: Southeastern States 4: Midwestern States (East) 5: Northern States 6: Midwestern States (West) 7: Southern States 8: Mountain Time Zone 9: West Coast That's a rough approximation, anyway. |

Wednesday, December 06, 2006 3:48:38 AM So, Alaska doesn't exist then? Nor Hawaii? I don't care if they wouldn't contribute to the overall data being shown, show them anyway, dammit! If you're going to call something "ZipUSA" then include all of the freakin' USA! Arghh!!! |
