I agree with balyash. I see these types of comparisons all the time, but, i use over 50 gallons of gas a month. Do i use 50 gallons of water? or bleach? or scorpion venom? I hate those comparisons because they make no sense at all. |

This list makes no sense. It is not the price of the gallon everyone should be concerned with, rather how much you use. Sure other liquids may be more expensive per gallon, but how much milk or windex does one use in a week/month/year? |

The price of petrol in UK is the same as $6.10 per US gallon, so we pay twice as much. Thats using about 84.5p per litre. There's 3.7854118 litres in a US gallon, it's different from an imperial gallon.Price per litre in Canada where I live right now (Victoria BC) is roughly 99.7 cents/litre Canadian. In the EU (UK at least) the quality of your gas is much better so it's more expensive, whereas here the quality is less, so it's cheaper. This also leads to less clean fuels being burnt in North America in comparison to the EU. Hope that gives you a little better understanding. |

I would also like to note that while it is true that other liquids are more expensive than gasoline, we are not dependent on them for transportation... not only in our personal vehicles, but service vehicles for businesses, mail, emergency services, in the transportation of goods, etc, etc. Everything that keep our world going depends on petrol products... this is not true for these other random liquids she listed. |
