I'm with you forestq, most people who bash the LDS Churh haven't a clue what they're talking about. Many getting their "facts" from South Park lol. (Although I must admit the Mormon episode was pretty funny.) If anyone feels they want to comment on the Mormons, please do back up what you say with evidence. |

RyanF701, I'm not Mormon but I have to point out how wrong you actually are about the church.
1. The dude you speak of was told by one angel where the plates, not tablets, were. Yes they were found and 12 men officially claimed to have seen the plates, this is well documented.
2. He never wrote a "sequel" to the Bible. They believe that these plates contained scriptures given to the people of the Americas.
3. They don't believe that God forgot some things in the Bible; they believe that the Bible has been mistranslated in some parts (which has been proven many times over) and that parts have been taken out and altered (also proven.) They use the Bible as well as the Book of Mormon.
4. Brainwashed? Every time something is taught in the Church a scripture reference is given and members are encouraged to research themselves. They don't baptise babies and they don't drill set prayers like the "Hail Mary" into people's heads.

wow notice how there was nothing even closely related to the mormon church or religion in general.... that has to tell you something. Take away the mormonism and it may have actually been a cool video... I could actually see that being a music video. |
