~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I'm more into R&B, but there is a difference between hip-hop and rap. Hip-hop focuses more on beats and rythm, while rap is mainly lyrical. Not to mention, rap has a tendency to be more graphic. Common, Q-tip, Missy Elliot, Lyfe Jennings, or Mos Def would be considered Hip-hip, Jay-Z, Tupac, Dr. Dre, and Eminem are rap, (and 50 Cent the like are crap.) |

I dont know what to say about Rap... I dont listen to it mysefl, but i was thinking they actually was talking about politic and was most the time trying to pass a message with the songs they make...Or there 2 type of rap? the real intelligent one ... and the one for the money ? |

I think rap music is one of the worst influences on today's youth, especially African American youth.. and no I'm not being racist. Seriously can anyone tell me one positive aspect of rap music? It all revolves around advertising merchandise to kids so they can look ‘cool’ like the rappers who don’t give a sh|t about the wrong messages their music sends. For instance, in this video we see a guy impersonating a rapper.. wonder where he got the idea get that sh|t put in his teeth?Ultimately, the main thing rap music promotes is violence. I think the world would be a better place without MOST rap. |
