Man...Alot of people really don't get this, do they?A painting is continuously changing as it's worked. It evolves and changes with the artist's ideas and visions...That's the statement. Besides- the painting wasn't the final piece of art. The video of it is. The video is about the evolution of the painting- not the actual painting. |

Almost seems like a waste of time to make all that awesome art only to paint over it! But it was videotaped, so it's not like it's really gone. :) |

Why do so many of you think it's wasted paint? We all took the time to see and appreciate it, and it's immortalized here on the Internet. As I post, it's been watched over 6000 times.I don't think that the Venice Beach wall even gets that much foot-traffic. |

Interesting. A contemporary art statement in art that one would often classify as vandalism. And to the people who would say that they ruined the art, that wasn't their point. If it was to be ruined, there would be a separate copy of the art to ensure that it wasn't. The artists' point was to 'ruin' the art. The artists' point was to make the art change. The contemporary, and artistic, point of the art was the Dynamism. |
