runt514, I agree that everyone has their own opinion about things, but there is a wrong to some opinions. The opinions of most(not all) peta members are very wrong. Some Peta members killed thousands of animals, including dogs cats and ponies, that were living in a biodome(not an animal testing facility) in Arizona. They also kill and skin the foxes that they use in their anti fur ads. Some also wanted all the cows in the US to get hoof and mouth disease so they couldn't be eaten, even though hoof and mouth would cause a more horrible and painful death than slaughter. So opinions can be wrong. |

It really is not cool.A conservative punk is actually more punk than all of the other punks, because they are a minority. You're not really being a non-conformist if you're thinking like a large majority of your peers (liberal punks) so really, they ought to embrace his blatant non-conformity, because he's actually out-punking them |

MMM, I never said that they were smart or right. I said that the majority knew what they are talking about. And I do agree with you, I am also a member of PETA. I realize that what I belive is opinion only. There is no right and wrong to opinions. And what I said was directed to someone who said that punks don't know anything about politics... I was simply informing them that punk is one of the most political forms of music. |

runt514, I agree that people make judgements about someone's intelligence, and they're usually wrong, but don't make statments like, "When a entire schism of people ban together in order to have thier political views heard... I wouldent say that they are dumb" Just because alot of people stand up for something, doesn't make them smart or right. Just look at peta, there a thousands of members but that doesn't make them right. |

Flingspoo... Most punks (worth thier salt) do not have skewed ideas of politics. In fact they (as I) do research and know that alot more goes on in the political world than what is presented by the media. Especially during conservative years (Reagan, Bush I and II). Just because punks have strange hair it does not mean that they know less than you about politics. If anything we know more. When a entire schism of people ban together in order to have thier political views heard... I wouldent say that they are dumb... I would say that they are strong enough to stand up for what they believe and most likely will know what they are talking about. |
