Um, there's a difference between spanking and beating. Beating the poo out of a kid is wrong, but giving an out of control kid a little spank can be helpful. I got spanked(not beaten) as a kid, and I learned to respect people, if I acted like a little sh*t, there were conequences. And I don't fear or hate my parents, I love and respect them for not letting me turn into a brat. |

I got smacked when I was a kid... Yeah it stung for a half hour but I knew not to do what I did again. I didn't need any drugs, My parents were parents. They handeled theyre child when she was bad like good parents do. |

ALL drugs have a side affect... A while back they claimed ritailn to have some severe side affect. I see too mnay bratty kids in public.. screaming running around and crap.. know why? Cause mommy and daddy think theyre Adam Sandler in "Big Daddy".
"I'll let the kid do what he wants" Wrong... the PARENT is the ADULT..The kid doesn't know jack squat. He doesn't know what he wants. OR what is right or wrong.. that what mom and dad are for. Sadly in today's world American's have degrated values and standards.
Most.. not all.Kids arent repremanded when they need to be. So they grow up to be little pricks. Oh... And let me ask this... How does a kid know that he has done wrong when he is gven Valium or Ritain? The drugs just stop him.. he doesn't know why, he can't see its because he set the playhouse on fire. If he gets a smack on the ass and told why he was bad then he'll know why he got his bottom slapped. He can't figure crap out if he is blown out of his smal |

i guess it depends why you are beating up your kids...i got two beat downs of my life when i was 8 by my dad because of my smarta.s.s. mouth and i learned well from it...don't say rude s.h.i.t. in front of your parents!! however if you kids are too hyper and just playing around, jebus let them have fun. you must have a reason for beating your kids, the kids in the video were just playing games not disrespecting their mother or writing with crayons on the walls. i honestly don't think medication unless absolutely necessary for kids is worth it, a good beating will do they will learn from it when they are older. |

Whoever is saying spanking kids is right, that it will teach them, it won't. Inflicting pain on someone probably WILL teach them something, but it will also make them fear you (which you may argue is a good thing, but would you want your kids to be afraid of you?) It can also damage kids mentally as well. So, sorry to be so blunt, but shut the hell up.And about Ritalin, so you're saying when your kid gets out of control because something is wrong with the chemicals in his brain, that hitting him (spanking) is going to solve that problem? You're wrong, to be straightforward. |

ok, you were probly never spanked as a kid.
but being even the age of 15, if i wasnt spanked as a kid i would never have learned anything. the pint isnt to "hurt" them, the point is to teach them that every action has a consequence. when they do something they know they shouldnt, they get punished (but not too severely), and when they do something good the (for the most part) get rewarded. |

Although they do lower the immune system but hell, every kid wants to get pnemonia once in their life. And as for the racist part. The damn kids were playing cowboys and indians. Personally I still play the part of the cowboy except I don't dress up i just go 'round shootin' people. haha just kidding....but not really. And anti-racists aren't taking away anything i still say "I am a racist!" it's the people themselves who are imprisoning themselves with these words. Wowzers this is a long post. |

someone's already said it but valium is the trade name for diazepam which is a benzodiazepine, not a barbiturate which are hardly prescribed anymore. |
