No jokes, I've had that idea before. Mind you, I never made it.But I personally think it would be great. I ussually scoop up some potatoes with the meat whenever I eat meatloaf. Granted, I rarely eat meatloaf, but I've nevre eaten it with out mashed potatoes. Though, I prefer my beefcacke Minotauren. |

I don't get why people are saying this is disgusting. My mom has a recipie from what used to be Quick Cooking magazine (I forgot the new name) that is basically the same thing except its only one layer and is not trying to be a cake. It's called meatloaf pie and it's meatloaf cooked in a pie plate with mashed potatoes and cheddar cheese on top. We put the ketchup on after it's served. It's delicious. |

Phew. When i first saw it I thought it was actually real whip cream and stuff cream but it's only mashed potato. In that case I wouldn't mind eating it. |

Why do people think it is disgusting. It's meatloaf and mashed potatos. I wouldn't want it served at my wedding, but it probably tastes fine. Plus, Good Eats is a great show. |

That would so be my favorite meal ever--no sarcasm intended. I LOVE ketchup (eat it with everything: potatoes, rice, meat, pasta), LOVE mashed potatoes, and LOVE meat. Perfect! |
