AOL tries waaaaay too hard. Especially with those little discs they give out everywhere...

One time my brother, after only 3 weeks of having AOL, tried to cancel his account. He did tape the conversation, but he never sent it in or anything. It was almost the same conversation Vincent and Johnny had. Ha. Go die AOL.

I have Aol Instant Messenger...Is that equally important to get rid of? Cuz I know when I grow up I'm not going to need it anymore...And I do have a bad temper.

Couldn't be more true. I can't tell you HOW long it took us to cancel with AOL, and even after it was all said and done, they started charging us again a few months later! They then tried to convince us that someone had downloaded the software or some crap like that... why anyone continues to use America Out-of-line is just beyond me.

wow... I work for a high speed internet company and if someone calls in and says they wanna cancel i ask why and say ok i'll get that done for you. Like holy crap, that's just pitiful, but I guess they're getting desperate.

OMG that brought back nightmares!!! I had AOHell for a while a long time ago, and when I tried to cancel the account they told me NO!! AS IF?! They said it was because they'd like me to keep trying it for a while then I can call them back in a month or so if I'm still not happy?! Needless to say I got mad and started verbally swinging and told them to cancel it NOW. They said they would and I found out like six months later they'd been charging me the entire time anyways. When I called all mad they said I never cancelled the account. They finally did cancel it then started charging me again for it like three months later!! It was a nightmare trying to deal with those bastards!

i tired cancelling twice and AOL gave me these stupid ridculous deals so my dad said to take them....

after we saw how high the bill was betting my dad got the bank to stop sending money to AOL so evenutally after 6 months of not paying the bills and fees, they CANCELLED my account....

i tried to sign on but they said the account was invalid, so if you want to get AOL to cancel your account, just stop paying!!

Hmm...I remember my mom just cancelled the credit card they were billing. Practically stole the last 3 months from them.

"Herpes is easier to get rid of than AOL"
Almost!! My aunt had it, and it took her just as long to get rid of it as to cancel our AOhell stuff. And it was less painful for her too.

Well, I hate AOL. But my ISP is Roadrunner (which is owned by the same people as AOL), and I'm happy as a calm. Thats weird.
