Friday, May 26, 2006 11:15:56 AM If the whole plant was blasted, they would probably remove all the radiated things, so there would be a minimum risk of radiation.Great blast though! I love the way the sound comes three seconds later! |

Thursday, May 25, 2006 2:00:56 PM "That for some reason can't be a good idea! Radiation aspect deffently!"Idiot. Of course they wouldn't do that if it could emit a lot of radiation. It woudld have been as safe as it can be when you are knocking |

Wednesday, May 24, 2006 4:54:12 PM Attention dumbasses who ain't into book lernin', and are concerned about radioactivity being released from the cooling tower's demolition - The water circulating through a cooling tower at a nuclear plant is not radioactive, and it does not come into contact with any radioactive material. In fact, such water is often drawn from, and released back into, a local water supply. Hence why we often find Nuclear plants nears rivers or other large bodies of water. The Steam we see eminating from the tops of these towers is harmless, fresh water steam. The process of evaporation is used to dissipate the heat of the nuclear reaction. So all you ignorant reactionarys who stupidly conclude that there is danger involved in bringing down that tower, be thankful that there are smarter people than you in charge of these things. But yeah, there is a helicopter perspective of this happening that is a far better view. |
