Friday, April 21, 2006 7:52:51 PM That was funny to a point, but after a while the lady seemed really annoyed and that is when the host took it too far. |

Tuesday, April 18, 2006 6:47:34 PM am I the only person who didn't find that funny? It didn't sound real at all, it sounded staged and I'm really surprised she didn't manage to figure out it was a wind up. |

Saturday, April 15, 2006 8:19:42 PM lastly, nikki asked, "why should we learn korean?" i suppose if you feel that learning a second language is only useful as a tool to make money in a distant country, then learning a another language may not be a rational choice for you. but not everyone feels that way. learning another language is about becoming more aware of the world outside your door. thanks for reading. longest post ever!

Saturday, April 15, 2006 8:06:53 PM hmm...first of all, this woman's accent does not sound korean. i'm second generation korean and i'm also an esl teacher - and i'm willing to bet 100 dollars she is not of korean descent despite what the DJs claim.secondly, the clip is funny but only in the way that america's funniest home video is funny. it's crude and unsophisticated but i can't disagree that it would appeal to a certain demographic. thirdly, in response to nikki1810's comments: you're right. it's not about learning korean. but also, you can't deny that she did not seem to have any trouble communicating herself clearly to a potential client. she answered all of the questions that she was asked in the clearest way possible (and politely too, considering the circumstances). the only "flaw" was that she could not pronounce the "l" sound in clock and that she was unaware of how she was being manipulated (or she knew and is extremely professional). |

Saturday, April 15, 2006 12:24:20 PM I truely thank everyone who posted that this wasn't funny. I get the humor, but you people should see how hard it is to know more than one language. These people work so hard to learn English to better their lives and they spend years learning US history that probably half of you wouldn't know, to get a US citizenship.I don't find this funny, because your just making fun of someone's flaw. If you could speak Korean like she could speak English, I bet you all would be stumbling over your words and messing up just as well! |

Saturday, April 15, 2006 8:01:25 AM It was kind of funny when she first said it, but it just got old. My boyfriend is Chinese and if he pronounced anything suggestive, unintentionally, I would laugh at him too! Lighten up people. |

Friday, April 14, 2006 10:39:11 PM I thought that this was hilarious. And if I did find out that I did say "c*ck" over and over again in another language, then I think that I would laugh. Just because usually the simplest things crack me up, and I like laughing at the silly things that I do. |

Friday, April 14, 2006 8:36:53 PM "Maybe, But If You Found Out You Were Saying C*ck Over An Over Again In French To Some People You Wouldnt Laugh Much, You Would Be Sooo Humiliated"Sure, I would be. But that doesn't mean it wouldn't be funny to somebody. I wouldn't blame people for laughing, especially if nobody whose laughing knows who I am. |

Friday, April 14, 2006 8:35:52 PM I really don't care about her ethnictiy, it has absolutely nothing to do with why this is funny. Plenty of Korean people who speak English can say the letter L, and if they can't learn to then they must learn to live with the consequences. Any other word that wasn't so suggestive wouldn't have been funny. And that was funny as hell. No, I don't feel sorry for her, it's not like I even know who she is. I don't know a damed thing about her and if I did it still would be damed funny. |

Friday, April 14, 2006 4:34:24 PM Funny stuff! It's just a silly accent thing; let's not go overboard here. I would hope that if she knew what she sounded like she was saying, she'd laugh too, maybe? |
