Wednesday, March 15, 2006 5:50:12 PM This was sooooooo nerdy, yet verrrrry cool at the same time. I loved the part when they were rolling on the ground and still slashing their lightsabers at eachother. |

Wednesday, March 15, 2006 8:58:40 AM Pretty Cool! Why didn't they go for each other's legs though when they had the chance. Like when the guy tripped? |

Wednesday, March 15, 2006 12:19:46 AM Im sorry but when the guy throws the lightsaber in the air, does one of those ninja jumps and catches it, that seemed unessesary |

Tuesday, March 14, 2006 11:31:48 AM It's most likely they used Adobe after effects (its creditied at the end of the film) Theres a program that does it here on IMB called LSMaker. Havent tried it yet but it looks pretty good. That was some awesome coreography in that! If you want to see a really shabby (but comical) attempt at some kind of fight like that goto stupifive.angelcities.com and watch The Stickfighter. This gets 4* in my book, I can't wait to try stuff like this out. And yea, almost definitely they're media/film students. Not even geeks have that kind of time on their hands! |

Monday, March 13, 2006 3:38:46 PM Special effects = very easy, me and a few of my friends did this many years ago in high school, the choreography however, not so easy! |

Sunday, March 12, 2006 11:29:31 PM Actually, going off what Rammstein221 said, the light saber blade is just the emittance of antiprotons, which in reality are so volatile that they explode upon contact with protons. The energy it requires to have an antiproton is so large that it would naturally form and let off light because of the speed at which all the atoms would be moving in order to reach such a high level of heat. However, light sabers are impossible because in the movies, they stop after about a meter or so, because of the crystals R(which Rammstein221 mentioned) to refract the saber to only a certain length. But real light's path would not stop after a certain distance, it would continue until it hit a solid object. And, since it's actually antiprotons, the "blade" would last mere seconds because the movement and speed of the atoms would ensure protons and antiprotons colliding and explode and thus destroy the fabric of the blade. But, you have to hand it to Lucas. His science fiction was creative |
