Oh aye, I figured this out at a swimming lesson once.We had to tread water for 5 minutes and I was getting bored looking at the clock, so I sorta zoned out. Then the seconds stopped moving and I was just like...uh? |

omg! u wont believe this, i did it for an hour( i have spare time) and it passed 4 hours!!!!!!!!!!!! i looked at the clock 1:31pm, i set a timer for one hour, it went off at 5:3pm! im so scared, help me! im also not hungry or tired,its like a comber is that how u spell it? |

So that's why the clock seemed to always stop at seconds at a time while I was at school. My teacher had a sign on top of the clock that said "time will pass, but will you?" what a crazy lady. |

btw this whole topic is about theorizing that Einstein was correct while saying that time is acctualy a measurment and not just a state of being. Measurment as in foot or meter and state of being as in being like a solid liquid or gas |

as lots have stated you are not stopping time in the relm of reality that we live in during consciousness but rather slowing your view on time as Einstein said time is relative and not all people have the same relative view on time it may be close but never the same diffrent people seem to be hours ahead of people when really they are at the same time in space not in thought it all comes down to what ur brain perceives as a certain amount of time and what someone elses brain percieves as the same amount of time. If you think that a second is realy fast a minute is also realy fast where as if you think a minute is long a second will feel longer. |

And why the fights anyway? Not like you'll change anyone's mind...Go to college and learn about psychology if you want to understand time- then add it to physics and philospohy. Then it gets interesting. I had to write a huge paper on this subject for my nazi Philosphy teacher at my college. I still shout my ignorance- trying to be 'right' only makes you appear insipid. |

I think time is perception (No matter what 'man's' time is- I'm sure you've all experienced the wonders of an extremely short day and a long boring day. Both days have 24 hours but do not last the same amount of time in our brains)- so, perhaps time slowed for me but not the world. Anywho- I found it interesting and neato. Got it to slow to a crawl..lol. |
