Saturday, March 04, 2006 10:18:19 AM Yepper, I can see the potential. We'll see how it comes out, but I can certainly see the potential. I mean, think of what it would do for GPS systems. The machine would say, "in about a mile, turn right" and then it could project the photo or a short video of the area on screen. Would greatly improve things... We'll see. |

Friday, March 03, 2006 8:02:59 PM When they release the full version of Virtual Earth, I think it will be much better than it is now, although it's pretty cool. If they actually mapped rural areas as well instead of just the main cities like Google Earth is like right now, it would be much better. |

Friday, March 03, 2006 1:47:01 AM Keep in mind haters: it's a "PREVIEW", not the finished product. when they finally perfect it and release it I think it will be pretty cool |

Thursday, March 02, 2006 10:10:45 PM very cool indeed! it definitely has potential. the best part is that you can take a virtual road trip. real road trips are better. but if you're short on time and money, this works just fine. |

Thursday, March 02, 2006 6:54:49 PM pretty good idea. if you want to find your way around somewhere, it's usually better to see it in this perspective rather then Google Earth's. Unless, of course, you're in a plane. |

Thursday, March 02, 2006 5:49:07 PM sorry to burst your bubble, but this wont work unless they do major cities only..it will never be like google earth, mainly because the government would stop it..they dont like google earth because it give away certain things they dont want us to see..i'd give this little project a week befor it goes offline. |

Thursday, March 02, 2006 2:31:46 PM That's pretty damned cool.Imagine giving people directions with something like this. Or having it in your car. I'm sure the MS haters will complain, yet, strangely, it'll be hugely popular anyway. |

Thursday, March 02, 2006 12:13:56 PM I am okay with old-fashioned top-down view maps, for finding out how to get somewhere. But I'll admit, this could work out well. My pc also too "slow", btw. |

Thursday, March 02, 2006 9:41:18 AM yeah it's kinda taking the google earth idea but bettering it - it's much more from actual perspective rather than bird's eye view. and yeh altho actual photos aren't available of most places you can drive around the lil map at the bottom hehe yeh as bigbonny says it's go potential |
